I had a groundhog when I was a kid. Her mother and siblings had gotten hit on the road outside our house. It was like having a guinea pig with the intelligence of a dog. When she got older, we gave her to a guy who worked with my dad that had a big farm out in the country and we would go over and visit every now and then and bring her bananas. She always remembered us and would come from under the shed where she lived to get belly rubs and even show us her babies when she had them. Such awesome little animals...
Yesss they are soo cute I never heard or seen them before I recently found out not to long ago from a video it was bunch of them fighting over food 😂😂😂 I been obsessed ever since
@Robert Keller wow dude. You realize that saying things like that doesn't help the cause? I agree with you we need to help the homeless vets more but people are allowed to support what ever cause they want. Talking down to people is not going to get them on your side. Just saying
--- not really....just a big heart is all it takes ......you just have to care enough.....the rest you just learn as you would most anything else ----- all that is needed is a big heart and time to do it ......and it is her job so........- she rox !
I just love Hazel. She is a doll. She is a handful and must run up a water bill like a teenager in the shower. That aside, she has brought much joy into the house. Nice work in taking care of her. ❤
We should never focus on the horror because the good outweighs the bad immensely. If the bad is the only thing we think of what kind of life can we have? Let’s all focus on the good and the great and the holy
Well, this just brightened my day (which BTW, is a very cold, dreary day awaiting snow by tomorrow here in southern Vermont). Stories like this completely warm my heart. Blessings to this very kind, hardworking rescue woman ❤
Same here in Southern California!! In the desert no less. Had the first little flurries last night . Two days ahead of the forecast . Crazy huh ? Stay warm !!
It would be so hard to rehabilitate all those wonderful animals and then release them after you've formed a bond with them. Such a wonderful person to do this for the animals and for the wildlife!
This amazing woman deserves an award and a ton of funding. She and her supportive family are saving the WORLD! MOST importantly our Animal Kingdom which are the kindest purest souls in the universe!
Hazel is one very, very lucky creature. The possum eating next to Hazel reminds me of all the years I enjoyed feeding possums on my back deck. They are so gentle and willing to share space and food with any other animal. My cat would be eating next to the possums with their babies.
There's a special place in heaven for people like you! Thank you so much for taking such good care of these divine little friends. Hazel is absolutely wonderful!
Millionaires and Billionaires should support people like this wonderful lady! Most huge charities are not honest and many are scams that don't use the money donated in the proper way. That is why we all should support people like this lady!
You have exceeded love given out and are an exemplary human to these precious souls. Thank you for seeing the love that they have in them and offering them the love right back! All thanks to you.
I think the work animal rehabbers do is awesome. Many of these damaged or orphaned animals would not survive without people like this wonderful woman to bring them through their time of need.
Aw, I luv her little noises! Soo cute! My Father had a groundhog living under the porch for yrs. His philosophy was it's not bothering me, so we'll coexist. When my Dad died, and I moved in, I had to tear down the porch, cos there were holes in the floor. There were nothing but tunnels underneath, and no dirt...lol. ❤
You are such a wonderful human to do what you do for our helpless wildlife. So cute to see the happiness in all of them, especially your dog. He's taking it all in like it's all normal for him living in your home. You are a little sweet heart to do what you do! Thanks Sooo Much! ❤️❤️❤️
There is a park near me where a family of groundhogs lives. They’ve learned that people having a picnic will give them food if they look cute. 😁 You have to calm and patient for them to approach you. Once you earn their trust, they will take food from your hand.
What a sweetheart! Hazel would be a good animal ambassador, teaching others about wildlife and their needs, especially since humans are taking away their natural habitats.
There is a special place in the afterlife for people like you. Bless you, for knowing how to take care of all these animals and then actually taking care of them!
@@AriV.1969 The second I heard the word Groundhog that's the first thing that came to mind because its also my favorite movie of Bill Murray, I'm a huge fan of him. 🍿👍
I have run a horse business for over 40 yrs. We have had groundhogs living in our hay fields forever. I honestly had not idea groundhogs had such interesting personalities. Thanks for the video and Thank you for everything you do for the wildlife in your area. 💕🙏😎🇨🇦
My partner and I volunteered at a wild life rehabilitation center for 6 years. Groundhogs, in my opinion, are one of the sweetest, most affectionate of all wild animals.
I don't think that i have EVER in my 63 YEARS EVER seen a rescues groundhog and NEVER know anything about them but to see how loving they are, is so great! Thank God for you saving all these animals and I hope and pray that you have financial support as well to do this, so sad that you can't take a vacation at all but I am sure that what you do is worth it, be blessed and Shalom
This has been sort of a blah day, but watching this video brightened it up in a heartbeat 💓. This woman is truly amazing with a beautiful heart! I love people who love animals!
We run an unofficial sanctuary, mostly for birds (unwanted hens and roosters, ducks, sheep and a few others), maybe 40 or so critters in all, and the vet, feed etc bills every year are scary. I can't imagine what it costs to look after 350 critters in one year. Well done to this lady and her sanctuary, wish there were more people around who did this.
I love knowing there are actually people like you in the world. I was beginning to think they were only fairy tales in books. You make the world a better place. Thank you for doing so. Peace and love.
When I was growing up in a small town in PA, a lady across the street had a pet groundhog named “Sarge”. He loved us neighborhood kids & would cross a rather busy road to visit all of us. His owner would come & get him & tell him to “never cross that street again Sarge!!” After I left home I heard he was hit & killed, but no one really knew for sure. 😢 He was the sweetest thing!!! ❤
Infinite blessings to this wonderful beautiful human. She is a beacon of Light and Love. ❤ thank you for the beautiful work you do on behalf of those who need you most.
Such beautiful humanity this woman has for these little creatures. The little groundhog couldn't survive in nature, but lives a happy life being cared for (I didn't say captivity because she's been saved, not held captive).
Hazel is adorable! I remember seeing a short clip of a groundhog sitting on it's hindquarters who had a big slice of pizza facing two big dogs barking away behind a glass door, it was hilarious how the groundhog enjoyed torturing them a little bit. Funny animals, I hope you and Hazel have a great life together, she is very lucky to have you as her human.
Absolute goals! I am planning to get my wildlife license when I get a yard I can build rehabilitation habitats in. It's inspiring to see that she is able to help 300+ animals per year once she got in the flow of it all!

Glad to see so many goodhearted people helping those little souls that are in need of help. Bravo!
Oh yes,I only like genuinely good hearted people, this lady is a gem
Yes. But honestly she should get rid of the plants. They can be toxic. We have cats and years ago I just let the plants go because it wasn't safe
I can tell that you are a "good hearted" people, too.

Cute and all of that but where does this thing go to the bathroom ?
This woman is gifted. It takes a special knack to work with wildlife so closely!
She lives off he contributions of others with soft hearts and soft heads. Too bad we don't have more folks helping actual homeless veterans!
And a rich husband who can support her hobby
