The little bits are what make this show at times. They're just so clever and amazing. Like: 'Thank goodness that was a movie prop' always gets me in the chase scene.
I miss the old days of the JAWS attraction without the pyrotechnics and only the fisherman instead of the diver. They should have referred to the fisherman as "Ben Gardner" on the tour, instead of "George". I do like the fog effect that they added on the dock on the other side!
@@TheSoleProprietor And the hydraulics on the pier that made you think the tram was going to slide into the lagoon. Now it's just a solid concrete pier.
I actually went on the tour of Universal Studios back in 1983, and I also remember having my picture taken in front of KITT, which was up on a platform. Brings back memories.
Another example of Knight Rider at its best. Very nice spinning kick, Matt. I mean David, I mean Michael. And was that a leaping forward roll over the barrels? That could've been a neck snapper. Do we see the baddie and Kitt go twice past the cinema? First in that really nice 'chase-view' filmed out the back of the lead vehicle, and then again in 'pursuit-view' from Kitt. Kitt does seem to be just a talking passenger too often. It happens again here in the weird tunnel. If the studio had simply inserted a little 'finger pressing Auto' shot it would have made more sense when Michael needed help to 'get through this'. The soundtrack (it's available to buy) is the icing on the Pontiac cake, it really lifts the action up and enhances it. Great episode clip. I've just watched it 3 times.
So many tidbits besides the backlot tour, though how cool would've it been to be on that tour while they were filming. 1:50 Looks like they were filming Back to the Future at this point. The diner is the right color and the movie theatre is showing "Castle Queen of Montana", just like in the film, though it was a different theatre they showed, probably to keep continuity to have both theaters showing the same film. 2:03 Also, just noticed the backend of the Battlestar Galactica Viper sitting around, wonder if they wheeled it out as an Easter egg to Glen A. Larson. Amazing what you still find nearly 40 years later.
It's used in several episodes, earliest being season 1 'Trust Doesn't Rust' when KITT and Micheal chase KARR, KARR crosses over the green in front of the Clock Tower.
It's where they shoot movies or it's just for public to have fun ? It doesn't look like a theme park. But if it's only for movies, in what movies all these sets appeared ?
Personally I was waiting for this clip! I absolutely loved this 'final battle' scene, for many reasons and most I don't really know, it was just so cool to me! Thank you for this one, the wait is finally over.
Fun fact: In the 40s, Abbott and Costello saved Universal Pictures from going bankrupt. At one point, they even had an opportunity to buy the entire studio, but decided not to, as they were more interested in cars, clothes, boats, things they could have fun with and get their hands on.
It's a shame they didn't work out Hasselhoff to do all that stuff himself. Given his runs and jumps, all he needed was a few months of intense training and he wouldn't need a single stuntman. The man is a prime example of huge potential wasted.
The reason they use stuntmen is because the production deal normally involves intense filming of all these episodes in quick succession and they cannot afford for their main star to get injured at any point performing stunts. The series was on a tight budget and David would surely have wanted to guarantee his pay. I don't think you could get paid for being off sick in the production of this show and you simply wouldn't want to see a stand-in for him at any point. I've seen TV series where they've used stand-ins temporarily and it absolutely destroys the willing suspension of disbelief, you always think "Get this guy off, who's this dude?". The stunt work done in this show was such that although you could tell it wasn't David, the usage was so limited that it wasn't detrimental to the viewing.
KITT says as he and Michael are chasing the phantom... "This place is full of surprises"... Just love these little bits 😂😂😂
The little bits are what make this show at times.
They're just so clever and amazing.
Like:
'Thank goodness that was a movie prop' always gets me in the chase scene.
It reminds me of the season 1 days, Kitt would quip: Here We Go, or Hang On.
@FirstDan2000 definitely or like
"With all do respect you can't possibly be thinking - oh my word, you are!"
@@sashamountainwater9322one of my favorites is "really, Michael" (either with an exclamation point, question mark or deadpanned) 😅
Btw another favorite is KITT saying "what on earth is this?"
Michael: What's with the darkened windows, pal?
KITT: This is Hollywood, Michael. I'm wearing my sunglasses.
One of the best lines
Love it, who says KITT doesn't have a sense of humor.😅😅
At what time does he say that?! Time stamp?
One of my favorite episodes, seeing KITT and Bruce the shark in the same episode.

03:47 Whoa, jeez! That's was so close contact! 😱😱😱
I didn't know that Michael Knight ever beat up Freddy Krueger. That's pretty cool.
KITT went toe-to-toe with Emperor Palpatine?
Now that's what I call a crossover.
Guess you didn't notice that that was Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger).
@@bradleyj.fortner2203 So now he's playing Emperor Palpatine
@@actioncom2748 Or any evil wizard in a black robe.
This episode honestly was probably my favorite one out of season 4.
The season 4 two episode premiere filmed on location in Chicago was pretty good too. Campy 80s all the way.
Another example of Knight Rider at its best.

1:45 hilarious how in KR after Season 1 KITT always wants to go for instant kill, and it's Michael slowing him down.

Yep definitely saw that... I wouldn't be surprised if it was an Easter egg.
I love how KITT brings Jaws into the picture as a distraction
This episode was one of my favourites.
KITT 🚗🚘 uses a Polyphonic Synthesizer to make a Jaws 🦈 come out 😃😃
I need to know if the cassette is C60 or C90.
That shark looks real for a second. Even the car chase looks fantastic
Glad they didn't turbo boost over the shark.
Wink.
You thought the shark looked real? 😂
At 3:30 I remember that water scene on the universal studios tour.
I just realised KITT is on the set used for Hill Valley in BTTF
Yup.
It's used in several episodes, earliest being season 1 'Trust Doesn't Rust' when KITT and Micheal chase KARR, KARR crosses over the green in front of the Clock Tower.
3:13 wow!!!
Taped inside KITT's home Universal Studios...
Wow exciting episodes. Thank You very much 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
This episode shows us a lot of movie sets
Universal Studios Hollywood, if I’m not mistaken. Helps that Universal owned Knight Rider and the studio.
Bruce: what’s going on here why you guys are fighting oh I know this episode is knight rider
Kolejna zagadka rozwiązana ♥️😁
It's Jaws From Jaws Franchise 4:52 with Universal's Studio Tour. 🦈
Jaws knight rider version...😂😂😂
And BTTF!!!!
Literally going behind the scenes takes a new level
4:02 it’s the orca sad to see the front of it is kinda dipped and probably sinking too
So many guest stars, I'm starstruck for real. Or reel. 🤩
1:25 April?
A fine tribute on universal studios which they also made knight rider! I love how kitt activates bruce the shark to distract the villain! 😉
1:53 town theatre. Back to the future?????
Yes
"I didn't queue a black car"...😅😅😅
KITT queued himself. :D
was that robert Englund?
Yes, it was Robert Englund.
4:52 OMG IT'S JAWS
Yep It's From Universal Studios Hollywood.

What was the point of the "silencer"?
nice how they filmed the studio itself they used to film show in...

🦈 Jaws
KITT must have gone through a new set of tyres for every episode shot!
kitt is chasing a villain in your own home
Hey was that Robert England AKA Freddy Krueger as the Phantom?
1:58 You would probably break through a real brick wall anyway.
Michael we need to hit 88 miles an hour. 😂😂
Where KITT goes, he needs no road.
It was Freddy Kruger all along!
😂😂😂😂
Rear lights broken in 1 shot, fixed again in the next. 😅
1:51 Hill Valley cinema from 1985 Back To The Future 😁

I just now noticed that as the car chase started, Carrie’s modified Vette from Custom KITT was driving down the road.
Robert Englund, AKA Freddy Krueger, no?
