Here thanks to a somewhat last-minute turn of events that has me playing Fruma-Sarah as well as Hodel in my production. Not going to lie, I'm more excited about getting to do THIS than I am about playing a major role. Those high belt notes!!
I played Fruma Sarah back in 2004 when I was 14 and tonight saw a professional production of fiddler for the first time. It was amazing but Fruma Sarah wasn’t on a ladder like this (and like I was) so here I am perusing UA-cam reliving the moment 😂
Its such a cool entrance they use from the back of the stage. Like a rising of the dead, such a dramatic and striking effect. A shame Fruma Sarah couldn't do the same entrance but I understand why. This is a fantastic staging of this.
Jessica sounds amazing and truly terrifying as Frauma Sarah. It is true she really is #DeadElphaba. So sad I never got to see this revival live. My friend Julie Benko was in this production. She was a swing and covered 4/5 of the Daughters.
I remember my first ever highschool music was Fiddler on the Roof and I played Grandma Tzeitel!! I had so much and now that I’m graduating I love watching clips like this! :)
Excellent vocal by the actress portraying Fruma Sarah. It takes a strong set of pipes and control to sing such compressed dialogue! Right up there with "The Best Pie's In London" from 'Sweeny Todd".
I'm playing Fruma-Sarah in a high school production of Fiddler, and this version really inspired me to end the same way she did- by leaping an entire octave on the "if she marries Lazar WOOOOOOLLLLFFF!" Cant wait!
@@helpthebirdsarekeepingmeho4368 It was great! I got a pesky cold the week of (which always seems to happen for some reason) and in my best performance, the mic wasn't working for the first half of the song, but it was overall super fun.
The other day Jessica told us at her show that there’s a guy pushing around the moving contraption under her. There’s only a small hole that the person could see out of. I think it’s so crazy and amazing😭
oh Lord help us, Why is it that revivals are aften so much less wonderful than the originals??? That Golde is not worn out or old enough and Tevye is about as Jewish as the Mona Lisa. My mother's mother's came from a town like Annetevke during the Czar and I should know.

As a dancer even here the character and culture of the choreography shines through for me!

THE Julie Benko???
woah julie benko is my teachers daughter lol
This is such a great show with so many wonderful moments. The Dream sequence is one of the best.
Thank you for sharing this! Nice clean video with good audio. Jessica Vosk is simply amazing.

3:08 Enter Queen Vosk!
I adore this version of this song. I wasn't keen when I saw it live in another production but this version is exceptional
I love the singing
Just got casted as Tevye. I’m excited! It’s a great show!
My local drama club did Fiddler in the '90s. Fruma Sarah scared me then..... And scares me now. I mastered skipping over this song on *vinyl.*
I had just turned 6 when the movie came out. My parents took me to see it. I had nightmares for years.
We saw this production in New York City. It was amazing.
Nobody:

If she marries Lazer WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I saw the play with my sister since she had no one to go with.(all of her friends were in the musical
Jessica’s choice to sing “How can you allow it how” instead of speaking it like most do is just sublime
Fruma Sarah is really good!
SHould have seen mine. LOL!
I really wish I could have seen this production
She is decidedly the best Fruma Sarah there is.
and was such a good elphaba
She’s brilliant! So vocally precise
This was such a fun performance
She's very good at belting at eye level with the mezzanine.
How to con a wife in one easy dream

@@Klayhamn Thank you!! The shows are next week!

I’m going to be motels mother and I am very excited about fiddler on the roof
3:15 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I auditioned for this play and got bielka the youngest day
this sounds exactly like the cast recording it’s insane
Jessica Vosk is amazing. But I don't care for the choreography of this scene.
Fruma Sara was too static.
@@1rewd133 Agreed. She should have moved around and menaced Tevyah more.

Im so glad i was part of my school's version of fotd.
Just got cast as Mendel and Fyetka in a local production. Just started rehearsals this week
Then you should know that the correct spelling is FYEDKA. If you are playing a part you should know how to spell the character's name right 😉
I don't remember Wicked being so Kosher.
🤣🤣🤣
Wicked is in fact a very Jewish show 😂
3:34 👌👌👌👌
Middle.Seatttttt! Nooo!
Why is she in red? i thought she was white to be a ghost?
Linda Poplin none of the ghosts are in white
I’m assuming they’re zombies, rising from their graves.
I got casted as motels mother

No disrespect…. but nothing will ever surpass the dream in the film. Impossible to re-create on stage, of course. This is pretty great, however.
MAYBE YOU COULD DO A BETTER JOB
wow, i hate the actors in this revival
Why?
