  • In the 2nd Bledisloe cup match on September 28, 2024, New Zealand faced Australia at Sky Stadium in Wellington, aiming to break their winless streak at the venue since 2018. The All Blacks scored five tries, with Caleb Clarke touching down twice, while demonstrating strong defence with 171 tackles. Will this be their 9th consecutive win over the Wallabies, breaking the Wellington curse?

New Zealanders are extremely proud of out Allblacks, in saying that we have been spoilt by amazing results for many years by outstanding world class players. Our national expectation for the allblacks to win forever is unrealistic but understandable. Be critics but have patience. A 9 and 10 combination will appear again.

One star is fading, the other star will rise. This is All Blacks tradition. So many kids want to be an All Blacks. Young men, it is your turn.

AB's need the Wallabies to start winning clutch games against them again, like in the early 00's. It's what hardened the AB psyche. this batch don't have the mental fortitude.

I’m taking a slight detour from this discussion to highlight the team that I believe Scott Robertson should take on the upcoming Northern Hemisphere tour. Now is the time to experiment with different combinations and expose new players to the intense pressure of test rugby. The All Blacks must seize this chance to cultivate fresh talent and address some glaring weaknesses-particularly in areas like kickoffs, inconsistent lineout play, kicks from hand, as well as the performance of the halfbacks and loose forwards. The utilization of the bench has been wanting hence, I would go with a 6/2 split to blood as many forwards as possible because the All Blacks are very thin in the depth of locks and loose forwards.
In my opinion, when facing the top teams, the All Blacks too often rely on scraps of possession and trust that their skillset will outclass opponents. While they undeniably have world-class game breakers, it’s crucial that they adopt a more pragmatic approach. Securing better quality ball will allow their powerful and talented runners to truly impose themselves.
With that in mind, here is the game-day 23 that I’d like to see given at least one major opportunity during the Northern Hemisphere tour:
    1. Tamaiti Williams
    2. Cody Taylor
    3. Tyrell Lomax
    4. Scott Barrett
    5. Sam Darry
    6. Tupou Vaa'i
    7. Ardie Savea
    8. Wallace Sititi
    9. Cortez Ratima
    10. Beauden Barrett
    11. Caleb Clarke
    12. Anton Lienert-Brown
    13. Billy Proctor
    14. Rieko Ioane
    15. Will Jordan
    Reserves:
    16. Ethan de Groot
    17. Samisoni Taukei'aho
    18. Fletcher Newell
    19. Pasilio Tosi
    20. Patrick Tuipulotu
    21. Peter Lakai
    22. Cam Roigard
    23. Damian McKenzie

The problem with Wellington is a historical factor that the ABs have a long history of losing at Wellington because it was always one of the main venues for a 2nd or 3rd test out of a 3 or 4 test series and the ABs always won the first test therefore massive pressure on the touring team to win the 2nd or 3rd test to stay alive in the test series!
However over the last 25 years the ABs have had some great results there except for the last 6 years!

McKenzie great impact player. Barrett stays at 10, Jordan at 15. Proctor is due a start as that was a weak performance from Ioane.

Ioane's distribution is poor, he has no analytical vision for tactical kicking, no fend, no pivot on tacklers, limited side step, over runs as support, if he can master these he could be a weapon. 💯 for the more weapons u have in battle, the better chance u have at winning the war.

No such frigin' thing as a curse. If there was a curse, it is the press making up mindless stories to sell the game and themselves.

Sevu Reece try,Riks was nowhere to be seen.
A good midfielder passes like ALB
Riks pass to Sevu-very poor passing skills
    Riks is not a midfielder.
    Riks is the weak link
