There is nothing in the game with a damage peak higher then a warrior with reck active. There is a legit possibility that warrior just straight 1 taps the lock with an auto/MS on the same global and if both crit it could be 4k damage instantly.
In classic, where every warrior, in every tourney, dies to lock pops req seduced, (unbreakable w/o self damage for u) CoS /laugh Channel SB As SB travels sac succ Instant DC and Sburn with a 48% increase to your shadow damage Plus all the dots after with amplification Plus an insta VW for when you change in or another Duce to do it over again And this is w/o heals, w/o ss most locks not even in peak gear have 7-8 k health without any mitigation at all 4k is cute
@@kylesmith987 Imagine thinking the warrior would be able to do anything with reck up. Yeah if the lock/druid stand still the whole game and never use any cc then sure, the warrior could kill the warlock.
Soda is bad… there are pillars to los. The warrior HAS to chase to pillar. Meaning roots and fears WILL happen. Like I said.. if the lock is chanimal it’s gg
@@macmac6064 Snutz won the vanilla duel, Channimal just won EU Arena tournament. Warlock was and still is the best pvp class. The better class will be the factor with equal skill.
How is the warrior ever gonna reach the lock? He can put the warrior in combat at the beginning of the game and kite him the entire game, the lock has tons of instant casts and never has to stop moving. If the warrior is kited and in combat the entire game he won't have any gap closers.
@@savage-6369 so let me get this straight. You as the warlock is going to stay at perfect range from the warrior with instant cast magic dots. All while the warrior is being supported by a priest. Is this the image we are painting? What dot is going to be ticking on the warrior? Priest can remove two dots at once. If the warlock stops to fear then the gap is closed. If the warlock uses Curse of exhaustion then no damage is happening. If the warlock usese Agony then its healed by renew. Where in your brain does the warrior priest lose this? It's built as a meta comp to deal with Lock / druid 2v2 in TBC.
@ Because you’re ignoring the druid. The druid is gonna be on the priest, he’ll either be out of the game or waste all of his mana dispelling, which isn’t a low cost btw. I guess you assume dispelling is a low cost spell and that the priest is gonna be free to chase the warrior all game. The warlock doesn’t need to fear, just continue to kite until the warrior flops over or the priest ooms himself dispelling. Corruption and agony are both instant casts and will do enough damage to the warrior as the warlock runs. Warlock’s mana far outlives the priest, their win con is stalling until the warrior dies or priest ooms, in which case the priest falls over to the 2vs1 because the warrior will be cc’d into next year. The warlock doesn’t even need to use exhaustion, the warrior has the same run speed as the warlock, if the warlock gets the warrior in combat at the start of the match with a pet and kites, the warrior can never catch up to the warlock.
People REALLY, REALLY underestimate druids. Druid lock was also meta in tbc… btw… did we forget cyclone /lifebloom in tbc lol…. It depends on the players, period.
The warrior has even less of a chance in cata. locks get meta, druid gets tree. The lock is gonna get the warrior in combat with a pet and kite him the entire game, the chance of a warrior ever catching up to a lock is extremely low. And even if he does there's infinite cc chains that will be done outside the LOS of the priest.
@@kalamoudi Explain. Warriors legitimately cannot catch up to a warlock, even if the warlock is terrible and the warrior DOES catch up, he pops metamorph and the game is over. 600% armor buff plus 20% damage increase is a GG for the warrior. Google what Metamorphosis does, it's literally not even close.
@@chaosi17 Yes, warlocks were in one of their strongest states in cata. Metamorphosis is an OP ability if used correctly. I don't think people played competitively if they think a warrior of all classes stomps a warlock.
Hmm, since it is 2v2 are we assuming arena which would mean TBC? Or are we assuming classic wow but with arena? If it's wow classic with arena, no major CD's such as soulstone or retaliation, I'd probably still bank on the Warlock and Druid combination. Warlock mostly counters priests until Wrath. Priest has fear ward or will of forsaken? Warlock can either eat it or wear them both down simultaneously with 2 cc's that still work on Priests. Most of the time in TBC in arena Warlock would beat that combination just simply because of silence and death coil. The warrior almost never got more than a renew and a shield on them before they die. Edit: Deathcoil isn't a fear but horror. This means it doesn't proc fear ward and goes through will of forsaken, it's also the main thing that shuts down priests. So they either blow their trinket on Death coil, which is a mistake, or they get shut down long enough for the Warlock to fear like normal. If warrior targets Warlock it's game over for their team as the druid get's to burst down the warrior for free due to fear and dots. Usually it ends one of two ways, Priest is dead from Warlock and druid died to a nearly dead Warrior, Warlock/Druid combo wins. The other way is Warlock dies after shutting down the priest, Warrior is dead from Druid and dots and the druid kills the weakened priest. I usually prefer a Shaman or Rogue over Druid in 2's but that was TBC. Also, no flasks were usable in arena.
Well thats not true...warlock didnt have the dmg to kill the warrior fast enough to not get any heals...priest can just go and hide behind pillar dispelling healing and drinking or even kill ur pet if u send it. And u stuck there slooooowly trying to do smth , you ll never gonna kill the warrior.
@@Admlostinwow I think you're forgetting that it's a 2v2, if Priest leaves, the Warrior dies in about 15 seconds and he isn't doing any damage. Priest returns without cd's and they get hard shut down. The warrior won't be able to do anything between the slows, fears and roots. Your strategy would just result in the warrior losing buffs and the Priest being hard shut out from the fight. Priest moves out to heal and they get cc'ed plus mana drained. Warrior returns to Priest for heals they will still be at a severe disadvantage. The Warrior/Priest cannot go to a battle of attrition as they lose that fight against CC's and mana drains. Also, Priests lose the mana drain fight against warlocks. It's shadow damage, so the Warlocks get their own shield against the Priests damage and with curse of tongues it's the Warlocks advantage for draining the mana pool first.

As a warlock main, and 2s with my buddy a druid. If i can live thru the warrior dmg, keep dots on and drain mana on priest. A priest with no mana is dead in the water. My best win was vs pally and priest doing this.
yeah but in classic you don't live through the warrior damage. If reck is allowed then you legit die in like 2 or 3 globals depending on if world buffs and consumes are allowed or not. You might live for a couple more globals if everything is allowed, if not your insta dead. You only hope is death coiling/void sac on the reck and then kiting in a way that the warrior never touches you for the entire duration of reck which is fairly unlikely especially with a priest dispelling him.
@@kylesmith987 Recklessness is a double edged sword. Any warlock worth their salt knows that death coil as a horror effect goes straight through anti-fear effects. From there, druid goes on priest and it's the warlock/druid win. Warlock can just curse of exhaustion and kite out the Warrior, even with a fap effect the Warrior would be fucked at that point. In the hands of good players with the extra's available in classic it truly could be anyone's game. Without the extra's, Warlock/Druid usually win the fight, there is just too much CC that Warlocks and Druids have available that counters both Priests and Warriors.
@@kylesmith987Cannot dispel curse of exhaus, curse of tongues on priest, cannot dispel mortal coil ( It’s horror and goes through fear effects). Fap can also be used by lock, not just warrior. There is nothing in the game with a damage peak higher then a warrior with reck active. There is a legit possibility that warrior just straight 1 taps the lock with an auto/MS on the same global and if both crit it could be 4k damage instantly.
In classic, where every warrior, in every tourney, dies to lock

@@kylesmith987 Imagine thinking the warrior would be able to do anything with reck up. Yeah if the lock/druid stand still the whole game and never use any cc then sure, the warrior could kill the warlock.
La mak'gorah my little man ?
why does it matter who asked the question bro? ^^ thats kinda slimy ngl , reminds me of old days in school lol didnt expect savix beeing such a dude^^
still wanna see ziqo 1v1 with xar
The only thing i learned from hardcore is that a lot of savix/xaryu viewers hate soda lmao
Payo is the best what a legend
Soda is bad… there are pillars to los. The warrior HAS to chase to pillar. Meaning roots and fears WILL happen. Like I said.. if the lock is chanimal it’s gg
warrior can LOS fear and root and then charge
@@macmac6064 Snutz won the vanilla duel, Channimal just won EU Arena tournament. Warlock was and still is the best pvp class. The better class will be the factor with equal skill.
Only has a few R1 titles from when the game was at its competitive peak... Definitely bad...
@@ApolloCondor link?
@@ApolloCondorain’t no way u bringing up the low level tournament that relied on arcanite dragonling and limited time event summons 😂
Uuh... Being normal human is over rated.🤓
Omg so beautiful cat i am fallen in love with it savix, what is its name?
Warrior/ preist wins this. Heck even in TBC id take warrior/priest. Just give the warrior full pve gear.
you did not eat with this one
It depends on the players, period.
alot of hate for soda here hahaha
The question was referring to cataclysm arena. If you put same level warrior vs warlock, the warrior will win 95% of the time.
@@savage-6369 Brother lock got very little chance to win that match-up.
Notice how chanimal keeps winning…
@@chaosi17 Yes, warlocks were in one of their strongest states in cata. Metamorphosis is an OP ability if used correctly. I don't think people played competitively if they think a warrior of all classes stomps a warlock.
savix stream earlier so my australian ass can watch u - also great video xx
why didnt he ask xaryu?
because xaryu isnt good at classic pvp, hes a retail pvp gamer
Soda the meany hahahh
It's shadow damage, so the Warlocks get their own shield against the Priests damage and with curse of tongues it's the Warlocks advantage for draining the mana pool first.
amphy: "You cant cleanse Curse of Tongues"
Soda: "Oh i forgot about curse of tong-"
Payo: "OH HEY SODA POPPP!!!""
Bro seriously payo is the funniest person ever
Yall are really underestimating how much a warlock can do. ( plus double void ) edit: nothing say’s u can’t los during mak’gora. Actually most people pillar or los during mak’gora’s. 🤷♂️
Payo doesn't know if you can dispell soul link or not? That is surprising. But actually i dont think he plays any class with offensive dispell.
poor payo hahahaha
i used to play warlock in TBC.
if you go against a warrior/healer there's actually nothing you can do besides slowly lose.
Well its classic not TBC. So consumes change alot but id still agree lock loses the matchup
@@DMsubble you're right, it's classic instead of TBC, so there's even less you can do besides slowly lose.
They have some options to cc priest, especially in an items allowed classic duel. The druid could do it by themselves.
@@prisoner817 and what are you going to do after you CC priest? very slowly rot them from 100% to 60% HP before the CC ends?
meanwhile you have the highest scaling class on your ass with a 50% healing reduction debuff and a 5 sec interrupt on a 10 sec cd, not to mention the spell pushback.
with a healer spamming dispels there's literally nothing the warlock can do to kite the warrior. in fact i'm not even sure a priest would be the best pair because of curse of exhaustion.
@BattousaiHBr lol no root the warrior and hard cast destro spells on him dude 🤣 this is classic why would you be "rotting" him
yeah, but i dont get the logic, feel like every thing starts with "but if the warlock is snutz theeeeen-" yeah ofc if snutz vs an average warrior/priest the lock wins, snutz could beat average w/p as a lvl 13 defias pillager. But when we talk about war/priest/lock/drud all four players PERFECTLY identical skill on their respective classes the war priest just wins across any bracket no?
Payo RIP
What yall noit taking in, is that he says on paper warrior and priest would win because how their class works against that class, not if you put like soni behind a warrior or snutz behind a lock, just an average player
