Me and my mom are definitely breeding some in the near future. My family has basically been laying down in the dirt, so i think its time to make a breeding farm of bearded dragons. Thank for the tips!
Thanks for stressing the facts about breeding Bearded Dragons, its costly and allot of time is needed. I have been in the process a small business / Hobby as a breeder not to make allot of money but pay for itself if done with the care they all need and the marketing part of it all. Peolpe please do your research before becoming a breader for any animal!
Thanks for the tips I was thinking about breeding but then decided no because my bearded dragon had way different genetics then the other beast and I didn’t want to risk anything.
Sandra Streifel here in the USA they are legal in all state except for Florida because they can live and thrive in Florida due to weather! But here in Kansas if you kept them in your house and you have some get loose they will die because they need heat and humidity to live. I personally keep mine in a reptile room in my shed because my wife doesn't want them in the house lol!
Hey bro get a UVB meter and keep an eye out on the mercury vapors, I just noticed and saw my uvb actually went higher then it originally was giving out. Found out that some MVB's can go up in uvb to dangerous levels not just the heat. Put in a separate t5 and halogen and a DHP but mine might be an over kill but I only have 1. Just keep checking it every month to the level of his basking spot.
Very good setup tips. You can tell he did research because everyone is healthy. Also even with the sand substrate I wouldn't think its a good substrate. If you see this could you let me know if any of them have ever been impacted or have had clogged femoral pores?
Where can I find information on how to find the perfect breeding pair, what genetics are healthy and strong to breed together etc…!? Any direction on educational resources that I can read and study!? It’s hard to find. And then when it comes to zeros and hypo zeros I am so confused!
Check cfl bulbs and the incondescent tube lights give off that radiation theybneed its what i use for mine and some L.e.d.s for the different light spectrum
The tub's are big enough so that if they want to escape the heat they have a cool side. I have the lamp at a perfect distance to where it's perfect temps for them just about 12 inches away from them
Awesome video man very informative I was actually thinking on breeding bearded dragons but now that I've heard your video maybe I better think it over LOL there's a little more to it than I thought great video man thanks
I have paired a male red hypo translucent with just a leather back , can u tell me what my babies will be. the thing I want to know is will I get anything red or do the babies carry the red as a gene . Any help is much apreciated and thank you for your time
Chances of your babies having red are likely but it also depends what your other beardie has in color. I can't give you a definitive answer because I dont know what's your dragon's Gene's
Saj Dragons can different bearded dragons with different colors like red, orange, tangerine, citrus or morphs like hypos, silkys, or leatherbacks, can they breed
The orange beardie all the way to the left is in an aquarium that's way to small for him/her. He has no room to even turn around let alone exercise and explore.
Do you have any albinos up for sale ? I was lookin for a new beardie morph in my collection. Right now I got 2 blue tongues and 3 beardies in separate tanks. Just to give you an idea of how it is.
There is no such thing as an albino bearded dragon. At the moment all I have is red hypo trans bearded dragons and a couple 100% het witblits tan and orange bearded dragons
Danyelle Penticuff there's no such thing as fancy bearded dragon. That's what pet stores label there dragons when they do not know what they are or if they have some color on them. Breeders and big companie pet shop dragons are the same more or less except for specific genetics breeders tend to work with. You can breed them together but have to be careful when it comes down to genetics this is why I tend to buy from breeders instead of big company Pet Shops because good breeders know what they are doing and can tell you exactly what you're buying instead of just labeling it fancy.
My beardies lock up but they never wrap there tails around each other, he bobs his head so fast his feet come off the ground. She sits and waves never shows any dominance towards him. They just don’t wrap tails, it’s the second day. I’m leaving them together for a week. Any advice ? The makes 445 grams The female is 619 grams. Is she to big ? Or do I just need to give them time ? Or do I just need to call it day and accept they need different mates ?
The male is a leather back, the female is a normal. I’m not trying to end up with any silk backs lol. This is all new to me, I have two incubators ready, my crickets are breeding good, my super worms are doing okay. So my point is I’ve prepared and I wanna make money from it obv at the end of the day I love my animals and just seeing this happen to me is worth it. That being said I know it’s very stressful and not as easy as everyone make it out to be to raise these dragons, not to mention it’s costly. Any advise would help, thank you
From what you tell me it could be a mixture of things it could be that he's a little too small for a female or it can be inexperienced from the bearded dragon give it some time and keep trying eventually he'll get it. It took one of my pairings at least 2 months before they actually locked just be patient and give it time
The best advice I can tell you is to have multiple bins to store the babies because your dragon can lay at least three clutches of 30 babies a piece and from my knowledgement bearded dragons don't sell fast all the time and when the dragons get bigger they start getting aggressive towards each other so please be mindful of that and if you're going to breed make sure is one pairing until you get the whole thing situated and then you could do multiple pairings then
Bearded dragons could get very big within three months and the cost for feeding almost 50 babies is very pricey be mindful of all this as well. this is the best advice I can give you from a breeder point of view if you have any other questions feel free to ask
Thank you, I’m new to this, I can promise you tho I’m not in it for the money. I have two incubators ready, one I bought and a homemade one. At first I won’t lie I was thinking hey 30-60 babies ? That’s a lot of money I can make ? Then I bought my female, then the incubator, my lay box. My bin set ups, and not to mention I still need to get lights for the bins, my food situation I’m pretty good on. So far I’ve put close to 700 $ into them, I’m in no rush to make it happen. I already got five beardies , a iguana, and a tortoise. So my point being is I definitely don’t know the most, but I have love for my animals, I’m doing this for the experience and it helps my gf us just as Into then as me. I’ve been dusting there insects that I’ve fed them for a few weeks. Yesterday he locked on again and they started to intertwine tails but didn’t go threw with it. My male is a orange leather back 100% het for hypo, and 66 het% for trans, I’m not sure about the females details but I know she’s just a normal beardie. I got her when she was alittle older. There’s not really much more I can ask, I’ll keep you updated and lyk what’s going on. I got one ? Actually.! My female and male constantly dig at their tanks when their separate ? And my male has for sure lost his appetite ? Is that normal during breeding ? I’m sure it is but can never hurt to make sure.! Thank you and please get back to me.!
I hatched a bearded dragon yeasterday morning its barely moving it will run for a second then stop and sleep for a long time and is very sluggish is that normal
Dont mind devon....he needs to be mean to feel better about himself and overcome his internal sadness. Do your research danielle and enjoy this beautiful process.
Danyelle Penticuff those are the only leatherback and normal scale I have at the moment but I do have silkback bearded dragons I haven't posted up yet on my website only posted on Instagram
Be very careful everyone...a proper light has a ceramic fixture to handle the temp...the plastic ones could burn your house down....just food for thought
its depends on what "successfully" means according to you. i mean what morphs do you expect from breeding them? because if ur leatherback does not bring any hypo genes (which is ressesive) your baby would be leatherback citrus het hypo at most, and would not bring hypo visually. but you also have to be aware of the polygenes in the bearded dragon colors. if ur leatherback are have the citrus coloration, the baby would be mostly citrus or even more brigher than their parents (due to the parents that have the same coloration of "citrus"). but if not, the coloration of the babies would not be as "citrus" as their parent. for tips, you should learn about bearded dragons morphs and genetic on youtube or just simply google it. genetics are really important for breeders. hope my answear clear enough!

Yes I believe having a Dubai roach colony is the key to feeding all these guys! Great nutrition also!

Keeping any roaches in Canada is unlawful, I don’t know if people do it to have feeders for their reptiles, though.

Question, you are using plastic containers to keep the babies, and there a basking light, will the plastic melt?
What are the dimensions of the bins you have on the shelves for the babies?
