Good to see someone actually not scared of British roads, as some I've watched were seemed petrified of cars and vans coming up close to them, so diving back onto pavements where possible. So Thanks Dave and Dave for showing us older gents what its all about being mobile without DVLA breathing down our collars insisting we stay off roads and streets .......
A lot of fun indeed. I'm just back from taking some film photos of local spots and videoed it. Posting the video either today or tomorrow. Wishing you well.
What a nice bloke just having a chat to you, shame about the idiots on the e scooters... but you get that everywhere. It was a really nice ride and is a good look at this bike as I am thinking of getting one, mainly to get to work on as I currently do with my current e bike but this will be a lot safer in the winter. Its good as a second vehicle by the looks of it and no tax or MOT I would probably insure it though in case it gets nicked.
Hello I watch your you tube video on your Eskuta sx250 mk3, I just brought one myself as the cost of living rising and petrol going up and car insurance, so I sold my car and brought my Eskuta sx250mk3 a week ago and I get use to it. As I got a full bike licence so I knows the bike laws, and I got my electric bike insured with the company hiscox they in partnership with the company pedal & chain that I brought my electric bike from . And I insure for the next 12 months and it cost me £104.00 . My name is mark and I am in plymouth devon.
Hi Dave Thanks for the video can you tell me how you increase and decrease the speed as I saw somewhere that the pedals are not directly connected to making progress as a standard ebike is Thanks Andy
Basically you have two speeds to speak of. 6mph via the green button which is used to get you started say from traffic lights or if you need a walking speed while in built up areas. Then via the pedals, which only need minimal turning, something I have recently experimented with up hills and it works, which gets you to 16mph very quickly. Hope that helps. Dave
Looks like a good bike. Thinking about getting one. I like the lack of necessity for insurance and tax. Probably cheaper than an oyster card or petrol over the course of a year. Alls you need is a cheap set of waterproofs. What's the maximum range on average please? Word of advice... I'd wear gloves if i were you. If, god forbid!🙏, you came off the bike... 1st thing u do is put your hands on the floor... I came off a 125cc moped once without gloves. Only traveling 25mph at the time. The skin came off my palms and it was extremely painful. Seriously considering 1 of these for transportation and possibly use for one of the grocery/take away delivery apps as a job. Take care my friend. Thanks for the insight on the bike 🏍 👍🏻... also is it light enough to carry up to a flat for storage?... I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving it outside all night even if chained up.
Hi, first it is a good setup. Easy to ride and very comfortable. I'm 110kg and at the moment get 20 miles per charge. But the company thinks they had a bad batch of batteries so they dropped off what is battery number 3 yesterday for me to try. Also a new spec battery is coming in a few weeks and my name is down for one to try out. I am after a range of 30 miles plus and will keep everyone posted via a new video. Kind regards Dave
It is a bicycle, battery assisted but a bicycle nonetheless. So the answer is yes where you see the signs that have people and cycle sharing, blue disc with a person and a bike in it.
That mileage should mean a week before charging. See my new video which explains the mileage I'm getting. Very comfortable ride Easy on the legs and highly recommended. If you Google eskuta you will find a reseller near you . I hope that helps and wishing you well.
Hi, how do these do on steep / long hills? Do the provide decent assistance? I’m 85kg - so not lightest but want something to commute with which can get me up hills
Hello John. Embarrassingly i am 110Kg but working on slimming down. I have a steep long hill on the way back from my barbers, I think one of my videos shows this trip inc the hill, and it is a breeze going up being assisted. It is why I bought the Eskuta and I am not disappointed. You might also get a little bit more range than I do until I slim down to your small 85kg lol. Wishing you well.
@@davecarrera thanks Dave. Super helpful and that’s not heavy either! Just didn’t know if this had some silly weight limit and is designed for smaller people 😂 how is the ergonomics of it if you are tall (around 6ft) is it still comfortable?

p.s I have bright orange gloves and it's 65kg. Also it has a LOUD alarm and I have left it out belled up with no issues. Garaged normally.

@@christaylor7222 no it's an assisted bike restricted to 250w motor and 15.5 mph. See the Eskuta website for full details.

@@christaylor7222 normal warranty length
is they way to not use the battery and just Pedal so i can keep the battery for longer
you could unplug it but I would not recommend using this bike without power assistance. Heavy bike.
@@davecarrera do you know when the sx250 4 came out
@Seanthemepark no. I would ask them via their website.

Errr, don't they fit in cycle racks....?
never tried as not needed to yet.
If your top box is empty then why is it rattling??!! Me? 50 years a motorcyclist without a rattle full or empty!
Not sure to be honest but am upgrading from this one to a larger one soon.
Can you have a light Passenger on the back seat
Absolutely, but remember, extra weight equals less range. Wishing you happy journeys
