Thank you for your kind comments. I just really enjoy exploring different places on my mobility scooters, and being able to film it and share it makes it much more fun. Cheers, Bob
The top roundabout on the A11 bypass at Thetford is a foot down and pray moment! I wouldn't fancy my chances on a mobility vehicle trying to get across that one!😮 Nice video!
Hi Johnny, Thanks for your positive comment. I haven't been over any of the roundabouts this year, but I have now got a second road mobility scooter with a longer range than my old TGA Vita 4, so I intend to go right to Brandon next year up the B1107 and back through the forest via High Lodge . That should be a bit of a laugh. Cheers, Bob
I certainly will. The good part about that road is that it is straight so you can easily see any potential problems coming your way. What annoys me most is the ridiculous 8mph limit that the government imposes on road mobility scooters. If we had the European 16 mph limit, at least scooters would have a bit more power to avoid trouble and be a lot less annoying to drivers.
@@TheMedusaProjectThetford From memory, hidden in the trees along that road on the left a good way out of Thetford is a curious ancient ruined tower. Good luck with you're travelling but stay safe! 😉
I have seen that tower. Apparently, it is called Thetford Warren Lodge and was used by hunting parties in the 15th century. My other scooter couldn't make it up into the forest from there because it was too sandy. Hopefully, my new one will. I will give it a go in the spring.
That seemed more stressful than it should have been. Vehicle drivers have to give way to you if you're approaching a crossing they're turning into. It's a new law brought in a few years ago. Also the larger vehicle is responsible for the safety of the smaller one. That doesn't excuse reckless behaviour, it just means that the bigger guy needs to be careful.
Hi Liam, I would rather they treated me as a normal idiot. The more people are told to treat mobility scooter users as special cases, the more estranged we will become. If a mobility scooter user is driving like an asshole, tell him so loudly! Hope to see you for a beer soon. Happy Christmas. Cheers, Bob
I didn't need to watch this video but I must say you're a endearing man providing great community service,
