This was a great video. Thank you for taking the time to document all the meals and snacks you had aboard the ship. My wife and I are going on the Scarlett Lady in June and this was incredibly helpful
Thank you for this. That salmon in Razzle Dazzle looked awesome. I must give that a go. And try the clam chowder - I’ve never had clams so that’ll be an experience. I’ve also heard nothing but rave reviews for the meatballs, so they’ll be on my menu too.
I appreciate it. We hope you have an awesome time! We can't wait to go back again on Virgin. I have a few other vids from this cruise and others I am behind on posting. Coming soon....
Hi, Thank you for the post, I've watched it several times. I'll be taking my first cruise in May on the Scarlet Lady. I know for the most part it's casual and laid back, with certain limitations, What's I've not been able to tell from any video is the 'dress style' for men at the more upscale restaurants. I know, no T shirts or swim wear. Do you wear dress slacks, dress shorts with a polo? What do most people wear so you don't feel under or over dressed for dinner. Thank you.
Hi, Thanks for watching! You picked an awesome cruise! You would be fine with a polo and slacks at virtually all of the dining areas. You would actually be fine in a tshirt if that is what you want to wear. Shorts MAY stand out a bit at sit-down dinners (you should not be denied entry or anything) - there really is no formal dress code , so I say go for it if that is more comfortable. I do wear dress slacks and a button up shirt to compliment the dresses that my wife likes to wear, otherwise I'm just in shorts and a tshirt for 90% of the cruise and for eating at the quick-service/buffet areas. :) I for sure have rolled into plenty of cruise dinners in shorts, tshirt, and flip-flops - but Virgin made every night feel like it was "date-night" for the two of us, so we chose to dress a little nicer than usual.
I’m watching very carefully because I’ll be cruising with Virgin over Christmas and I’m sailing solo which is fine but dining solo, in (for me) posh eateries is a whole other ballgame. I’m fine in a food court but not so fine at a restaurant. I need to know what the food is like and what I ought to order, whilst also balancing out trying new foods. The chowder looked good but I’ve never had it before.
Thanks for the info I can really see much of the video because it’s really dark so I don’t know how your steaks or cooked but my question is are there only stairs to get into the wake?? Thanks Vic in ga
That camera is bad at low light, sorry. My steaks are always med rare. The Wake does have elevator access if needed, plus they do breakfast there also - highly recommend
There is a quick service area where most ships have their buffet - but very much nicer and still all you can eat. You can go up to counters and get whatever you want or sit and be waited on. Plus a few lounges/other areas have food service that is great! Very easy and casual. The actual restaurants you do have to make a reservation for, but you can get whatever you would like and as much as you would like. Multiple apps, entrees, and desserts are not a problem.
Unfortunately you guys ordered the wrong thing in every place :( gnocchi is a must at Extra Virgin, squash ravioli at Razzle, Dorado salt crusted fish at the Wake for dinner and the whole menu for breakfast and brunch. You guys got it right at pink agave.
fun and informative video! Going on my first virgin voyage this year, can't wait!
Thank you & we really hope you have a great time! It's hard not to have fun on Virgin, we can't wait to go back

Thanks for the detailed reviews. They are very helpful. BTW, it’s called a head roasted garlic. I lspread it on bread.

I enjoyed all your presentations Thanks quick question would you say it was chilly in the restaurants ?
I wouldn't say it's chilly in the restaurants, maybe take a light shawl just in case.

Just found you, planning to book a Virgin cruise this year, and the shrubbery joke got me, I had to subscribe for that alone 😂
Thank you! A person of taste, I see. :D
Great amateur review I enjoyed it very much.
Thank you!
So, how different is the food services on Virgin? I hear that isn't all you can eat and you have to make reservation for everything. Is that true?

The Korean place is amazing and the Test Kitchen is an experience.
Absolutely will do those next time! Too much food, not enough time :D
Do they serve hotdogs
Yes they do. Inside the ship at the social club/diner area. Popcorn, spiked milkshakes, and hot dogs.
@@chrisquest somebody says they have a burger bar?
@@evgenykhamlov8423 Burgers available at the general quick service/general dining area throughout the day
@@chrisquest galley?
@@evgenykhamlov8423 yes!

Sounds like we'll have to go back again! 👍
You are so right. I enjoyed the food very much and the whole experience was A plus. Can’t wait to go again
you all seemed underwhelmed with the food. Other videos about the Virgin are way more excited about the food.
