- This week I chauffeur "everyone's favorite English guitar player" Peter White around town. Uber and/or Lyft won’t be rushing to hire me, but at least I get my passengers where they need to go, and mostly on time. It’s a whole lot of fun...there's no one in the world quite like Peter White!

If I were driving by and saw Peter White and Dave Koz jamming at the curb, I would have to slam on my brakes, throw it into reverse, back up and get my groove on!
I believe the year was 2002, when I spoke with Peter after his concert in New Port Beach. I attempted to acknowledge his musical giftedness (to compose music in a meditative state, so to speak, something I can relate to) but wasn't successfully able to articulate my point with him. I liked Dave's question he asked Peter, "What is your favorite aspect working with music?" Peter's abrupt answer, "I like playing, playing alone!" really cracked me up! Not an answer you would expect from a typical question. Peter is trying to explain being in a quiet relaxing space and allowing music composition from somewhere out there in the universe to fill his spirit while he plays it out on his guitar (or sometimes keyboard). Smooth Jazz changed my music world when I was burned out on everything else, including talk radio! Thanks for the video Dave. Love you too!

I've seen both Dave and Peter in concert several times in California. I remember being a fan of Peter's song writing when he was with Al Stewart. I raised my kids on Smooth Jazz and this video brought such a huge smile to my face. Peter White is truly one of the kindest, most selfless people you'll ever meet. Loved every second of this video, thanks Dave Koz!
