Really love this kind of trailer where it's basically the prologue of the game/story.
So you have started the game simply by watching the trailer.
It could almost have been the intro to the game, followed by an explenation of why you're dead ofc.
I can't express how awesome it would have been to have the fallout 1 intro (without the narration part) as a trailer.
this cutscene would play after you get shot in the head but before you awake in doc mitchell's house, like victor dug you out of the sand!!!
People not realizing Victor isn't trying to dig the Courier up just yet; He's looking at the flat little rocks trying to find the Platinum Chip. As far as he or house give a shit, the Courier is dead as a doornail.

That's completely incorrect... Not only did Benny take the Platinum Chip, but the Courier was also of interest to Mr. House as a replacement for his former right-hand man (Benny) because of their common opposition to Benny.

Actually you are pretty close. You go around just because the path straight to New Vegas is dangerous. They even had traps like a boulder falling down to stop you from going straight there.
***** If you can get Jacob Cobb's stealthboy it helps getting past the deathclaws a lot.
+MrMeddyman you can get there super easily at level one by going to the town with the dinosaur and taking the highway to New Vegas. There aren't any deathclaws that way

@@suleymankaraca5323 nah that specifically is a power of fallout protagonists, as it is for many of these kinds of games. There was a silly fanfic that wasn’t that good but it did have somebody talking to the courier after they had been contacted to see somebody high up in NCR, and asking them about why they didn’t make any kind of schedule or appointment. The courier shrugs ahd says “why? Whenever you show up it’s at an appropriate time. I don’t even think I’ll get to this for another two weeks actually, I got other business. I’ll just pop in then.” And it got me thinking, “yeah, this guys life really does work that way doesn’t it.” My personal theory (regardless of in game stats) is that ONLY the protagonists have the luck stat, and even at 1 luck there is a hidden perk called “right on time”.
The courier was going to live without medical assistance just long enough for the doc to get to him. As it is? Victor just made it to the doc .If Victor had a shovel and dug 4 times as fast? He would have just made it to the doc.
VATS, the ability to shrug off bullet wounds by eating irradiated snacks, actually gaining power eating corpses, but we never think about the real, reality breaking power of these people to conduct the beasts of fate.
For those who are wondering, and have played Fallout 1&2, the man by the flag is a member of the New California Republic, they were "good" guys in the first two entries of the series. But judging from his get-up, I wouldnt be surprised to see them as the antagonists for this game.

The end is a pretty cool metaphor, the ncr looking over at the city of vegas as their primary goal, over looking the key to that goal.
Could also be a bit of irony. While the courier could be their key to the goal, they could also be the major stumbling block to obtaining... or even the reason why they fail to get it and end up falling.

This trailer is the most fallout trailer of all the other fallout trailers and is one of my favorite trailers of all time as soon as it starts when victor is flashing in between faces you can kind of see house’s frustration that this might be the one shot he has at the chip and the music nails the fallout feel with blue moon playing while the camera pans out to show a gorgeous full blue moon above a graveyard and while this is happening the music fades and is replaced by the more sinister music to show the ncr ranger watching you.

The reveal of an enormous city relatively untouched in spite of it being a game set after a nuclear war is a pretty fantastic
I remember watching this as a kid and being unbelievably hyped. I really loved this game. Currently on another playthrough, I wish outer vegas (westside and the north square) as well as the legion were expanded more.

Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout New Vegas is the consistent Trilogy that matters.
Facts. Bethesda had to come and ruin it.
Fallout 3 is decent. I consider it more of a spin off then a sequel. But not as good as the trilogy.

And to think that is the full size of the Vegas strip, not the watered down version we got in the game. My guess is that there would have been over 30 quests to do here. If only someone would finish the strip though if they tried and held themselves to the same schedule the original devs did it would still take months

To this day I wish the engine and older consoles could have handled the scale of the Vegas seen in this trailer. It seems much more like the jewel in the middle of an irradiated desert that everyone wants for their own.
Maybe one day we'll see the full vision and scale that this little spin-off game wanted come to life
Until then, this is the next best thing.
I'm sure the engine could have handled it, it's a good engine in my opinion (for the time), but the main problem was most likely time with the game being made in about 18 months.

@@inktheone5933 I had a lot of friggin lag in DTLS on GTA V that I didnt on 360. It could've just been my console. But I feel like the PS3 Should have gotten a completely different Fallout game. I've seen so many videos of PS3 NV vids showing the game running at like a 3rd of a frame per second
i don't think so but the flag is from fallout 2 it's the california republic flac (ncr) and they are likely invading vegas who has a great power supply or something and are the opposing faction

The limitations of current systems (Xbox 360, PS3) limited new Vegas to its shit that it is now. It was supposed to be all connected and no loading screens and atleast 10 more buildings/shops.we should expect more in Fallout: New Angeles

It's horridly outdated, and I doubt it trying to render anything more than the strip we got would cause it to just stop working and break.
I can't explain how excited I am for this! I have put about 350+ hours into Fallout 3. SOO many play-throughs with all the DLC. AHH! I also LOVE Frank Sinatra! :D

If they instead made this game with 30 months of development time, can you people imagine just how perfect this game would be? Literally nobody could not like it.
P.S. Just like Fallout 3’s trailer with the Brotherhood of Steel Knight, when I was a kid I thought that was like the main villain cause of how intimidating it was. The muffled scuba diver breathing, the hulking armor, and him slowly turning towards the camera as the music intensifies creeped me out. Same with New Vegas, when I saw this, and I saw the glowing red eyes along with a duster as he watches over the city, then slowly turns around (like last time), I thought he was a bad guy. When I found out i’d end up working with these people, I was surprised.
Wish we had this Vegas instead of the smaller one we got in the actual game
The limitations of the engine and Bethesda's rush not to coincide with the advertising campaign of Skyrim made the game cut a lot of content and had very little development time, you can search UA-cam for discarded material and you will see that we actually received half of everything planned (being generous).

Matteh - Editor Well Bethesda has had even more time than that to get some good ideas :) Of course they were working on Skyrim after Fallout 3, but I bet they have had someone brainstorming for the next fallout during that time.
If it combines F:NV's descion of fate and F3's gameplay and enjoyment, then i shall wait another 3 years for it.
When I first saw this trailer, I couldn’t tell you how badly I needed that NCR armor back in 2010.
I've always gotten the perk "Rad Child" or "Solar-Powered" as a role-playing mechanic every time I've played so I could say my Courier survived his ambush due to beneficial mutations that gave him super healing powers. Good stuff.
When I saw this trailer, I cried tears of happiness.

What I adore about the trailer is that it really puts the size of vegas lore-wise into perspective as You can see it sprawling in the distance. Unfortunately it obviously isnt as epic in game due to limitations
Obsidian's cinematic scenes look amazing.
I love how they replicate the part in Fallout 3 when the Brotherhood member turns to face you. Here it's an NCR Ranger.

I like to think that Victor (Mr.House) , is taking his time digging out the courier because he’s already made it a mathematical certainty that they will pull through and survive thanks to the securitron he placed in goodsprings, the only place south of new vegas with a doctor for miles . Crazy how it turned out to be a nice bet that took many years to pay off.
And here I think, personally, he though at this very moment moment : _"Why have I never, EVER, though about programming them a Leaf blower in their hands ?! WHHYY !"_

I like the detail of the moon over New Vegas being blue, with the ranger gazing upon it. Ties into the song and the general plot of the game.
the strips actually about that big if you scale it correctly. If you count the length of Freeside to the NCR Embassy its pretty much that long. Even if you dont count Freeside (cuz its not really that bright) Its still about right if you compare the length of the strip to the height of the tower

It's kinda creepy and sad to think that our character in Fallout 4 is chronologically frozen when the Courier Six did this and that, while their son, Shaun is in the Institute, and Lucy McLean alongside her mother and brother is in Shady Sands during the events of the game. Bethesda really appreciate storytelling in some way.
...Because this takes place earlier in the timeline, while those things are coincidentally happening at the same time? Like, really, that's it? That's worth praising to you? Jesus, no wonder they thought they could get away with 76 and Starfield.

It s a ps3/360 game with just over a year of development , at least the story and freedom is phenomenal
Blame Bethesda for not giving obsidian the full time to develop it to its maximum potential. And still new Vegas is better than anything Bethesda put out for fallout.
It's funny to think about how this takes place in the final game. The place you were buried was already on a cliff, but NO, the NCR Ranger is standing on an even BIGGER cliff.
But if you're looking at new Vegas from the goodsprings cemetery there is a ridge of cliffs behind you at the end of the map

It's actually a little more complicated than that. "Officially" the DC branch of the Brotherhood of Steel was still a part of the Brotherhood as a whole, but their leader chose to have the order fight the Super Mutants in DC, with the goal of finding new technology taking second place. The outcasts believed in the Brotherhood's original mission of uncovering new technology, but when they left they formed their own separate organization.
