If you played alot of fighting games I like to have the idea that every gun is a moveset and the recoil is its learning curve to mastering the gun.. the way you simplified the recoil patterns definitely helped me remember alot of the recoil patterns without much thought since a downward motion is typically what all guns have in there recoil. It's just a matter of knowing whether a gun falls left or right and applying it accordingly to get good results.. great vid btw
One thing I felt the guide lacked was talking about how to do these counter-patterns while running n' gunning. It's all well and dandy doing it standing still and shotting a stationary target.. but how the heck do people incorperate it into actual game play where you need to track targets at the same time. I know, I KNOW.. Git Gud and all that. But it would have been nice with some talking points about that in the guide :)
Thanks for the note Bjorn! When it comes to how to incorporate, there's another layer: Practice strafing and incorporating these tips into your strafing. You'll find some guns are actually EASIER when you strafe, and control their recoil as suggested :D
G7 Scout tip, for med/long ranges don’t spam max fire rate. Instead you want to fire at right below max fire rate. It gets rid of all recoil in return for slightly slower DPS. Also other things I’ve noticed: Rampage lmk has very slow bullet velocity, even w/thermite Havoc rifle has nice hipfire, underrated weapon Flatline recoil is tough on controller, good tips in guide Having low dead zone helps with r9 recoil, or any high recoil weapon. Have to be accurate though
My tip is EZ, all spray weapons I'm using, just slide down a bit your mouse base on the weapon clip then move backward. For me it's ultra-effective. Rest depends on your aim tracking. You are welcome!
That is indeed the best tutorial for gun recoil..so glad someone showed it with slow motion..although should have done it with mags also because the recoils changes completely after u add max mags. but still good video
idk why but when i was a new player flatline seemed like an easy gun which was on the easier side of the weapons (of course i hadnt seen any videos regarding apex legends at that time so i didnt know that flatline was supposed to be hard to control)
Didn’t really explain Jitter aiming but if you were to jitter aim a flatline you won’t really even need to pull down however jitter aiming can really mess up your tracking at ranges. Sometimes just micro flicks when you get to the end of the magazine would be better for tracking enemies at range
to master my r-301 i just threw a 3x on ang a god mag and then turned bots on after i got the hang of it for a bit, but for the flatline it was a pain just because the flatline 3x has a very random spray but its worth mastering
I always tend to pull too hard either way, when you say to the left then the right is it straight left then staright right? Or is it ment to be done slowly
@@hothandquis941 until you eventually start carrying every game and try to explain to your squad that they are dumb and need to run because there's 6 other teams aiming down your neck so you move and just watch your tm8s separate and get gunned down then scream at you for not helping them when they did 40 damage and wouldnt listen while you have 1500 laughing your ass off but also contemplating the worth of life cuz you know every other match will be the same unless you get those lvl 500 gods who try to 1v6 kids with a arc star while you're trying to get a gun and they go down and leave right when you get to their box because you take down 4 peeps after you get some actual loot. you see a fully decked out lvl 500 path main just know you're really fucked enjoy being solo or being a special ed teacher trying to help guide them away from gaurenteed death by multiple squads
4:16 that aint jitter aiming, jitter aiming is just jittering your mouse and it will (almost) completely negate recoil. it also works with every single gun, not just the flatline and its essentially using the mechanic that reduces recoil while tracking people
i dont honestly see that people reallllyyyyy learn the full patterns. i imagine its usually just down left/right and adjust for the last bits or simply strafe.
idk why apex has such recoil pattern. Like in csgo, its understandable to have a hard recoil since its a much more slower game but apex is a fast paced game

How b Devotion ?
Plz make a strafe guide and how to control recoil while doing it, it would help a lot.
Thank you for this I started playing this about a week and half ago and I’m in plat ranked arena and plat in ranked BR
Plat 3 is where I’m having trouble being a new player
about a week ago week ago

Agreed. DPS means nothing if the shots don't hit. Getting rounds on target is much more important than getting rounds down range.
I can’t control any horizontal recoil. I used to have perfect aim with the havoc
same

Hate using energy guns, it feels almost impossible to control the recoil.
The Volt is so worth the effort though, especially if you can’t find a 301 or 99.
i dont even have to worry about recoil cuz i use r-301 or PK, and a rampage lol
That is indeed the best tutorial for gun recoil..so glad someone showed it with slow motion..although should have done it with mags also because the recoils changes completely after u add max mags. but still good video
They were done with purple mags.

Im here bc of my fav weapon but it isn't here, Devotion.
Omg I got sooo good in apex thx a lot
The video is only out for 3 days lol
1v1 me then

Very detailed video y’all deserve more subs
As a new player I understand the rudiments, but energy weapons make me feel like I've never played an FPS.
Smh thought it was just me. I’m loving the journey of getting good at this game though.

Stupid question when he said down left or right he means the mouse or the keyboard?
Mouse

I can’t see the dots that are left by the bulets I don’t know what to do pls help
One of the most useful guide yet
Can you do thid for this season pls❤
My promblem Is that i still need to learn to do the tracking and controling the recoil, Is very difficult
What about the devotion lmg?
Pull down then do the same technique as flatline/r301.
Imagine the havoc ot r301 recoil but with more kick, jitter aiming the devo is harder because of its firerate but it will help a bit
U forgot devotion
But how do you control recoil while tracking ennemies though ?
Great video! Is there sort of a "cheatsheet" for this?
controlling the recoil with analog stick is a nightmare >

I can’t stand the Hemlock....
There's not a single gun in Apex that uses a "clip." it's not a WW1 or 2 game.
"and there you HAVOC".
No? No one heard that? Ok
It's a magazine not a clip
