Hello Paul, great shave! Bakelite the first plastic made from synthetic components, it was developed by Leo Baekeland in Yonkers, New York, in 1907, and patented on December 7, 1909! Thanks to Lowri for the beautiful flower display! Have both a great weekend!
I love that razor. Very fortunate to have one before it was discontinued. Have a great week! My SOTD was: Razor - Aylsworth Apex with Personna Med Prep blade (1st use) Brush - Alpha Shaving/Thäter 400 handle with 26mm Declaration Grooming badger knot Soap - Barrister and Mann Latha Oceana (very old base) Aftershave - Floid The Genuine and Thayers Rose Witch Hazel
Explosions of color today, thanks to Mrs H. A&E is top shelf IMO, scents and performance stand above. Shaved a couple days back for Dr. visit, TOBS "Grapefruit" cream and Myrsol "Plastic" splash, Rockwell 6S/Gillette Silver Blue..normal post shave..Great. Steak n' taters...delicious, do enjoy!
Greetings Paul. My compliments to Mrs H for her beautiful bouquet. Hope you both had a wonderful sunday and enjoyed a great meal. Today I had a shave with the Edwin Jagger 3one6; beautiful tool from Sheffield it is. I paired it with Proraso red cream which was chased by its matching splash as I am an avid sandalwood lover.
Hi Paul! Great Shave and today My SOTD was from Vanyulay called Perfect Storm, I also had a great shave. I always enjoy your videos and Mrs H, The flowers are so beautiful. Have a nice day.
Hi, Paul! My SOTD was the Leaf Twig with a new Wilkinson Sword blade. The soap was A&E’s Signature with matching splash. A great scent. Finished with witch hazel and A&E Post-Shave Serum.

I love that you used stetson. My dad ALWAYS kept stetson in the medicine cabinet. I do too. If you ever get a chance, try "stetson cooling moisture". It's menthated and smells exactly like the original but with a little something extra, probably from the menthol. Great shave, Paul. -Chad
Hi Paul, greetings from Texas! Beautiful floral arrangement by Mrs H; as usual! Unless I'm mistaken (probably am), the music is new to the channel. A&E make some of my favorite products.

Morning Paul and congratulate Mrs. H for the outstanding bouquet. A&E soaps have a collection of wonderful scents. All of them are superb. Wish you a lovely sunday and stay healthy mate.👍
Nice vid. I like that razor a lot, it's the most efficient, non adjustable Merkur. My brother wanted one......man that was HARD finding one......found one seller BUT the shipping was absurd *it was free if you spent more than $500*. anyway, found a nice one on eBay......was in nice condition and moderate price (not inexpensive)......these are hard to find and people know they are good shavers..... The best bakelite razor.......I recently got a set of bakelite razors (one is made in England) but all 5 are NOT better than this Merkur 45. cheers
Nice shave. Like the razor. Save a steak for me. We will be flying to England later this year. We are going out for Chinese food today. Have a great week. 👍😋
I am pretty sure that I have the precursor of that Mekur. It's a 1930s French Bakelite razor, and the only significant difference between the two is color. Mine is a mottled brown with black. Otherwise, they could pass as twins.
The razor is not made anymore. I bought one of the last a few years ago. It's a shame. Love that razor. Only the female part of the thread should be metal. Rest is very good!
Good morning Paul. Wonderful flowers this Sunday morning Mrs H ! Paul, your Bakelite razor reminds me of my PAA Crimson Ghost razor . How do they compare ?
u never tried gillette platinum father blades or king c gillette their good! and stetons aftershave here in the us u can fine that as Walgreens or target smell ok better then old spice
