You're right, Paul, David Attenborough will 98 years old in early May. I've never seen any of his PBS television work, but he's always been terrific as a film actor. My favorite role of his was in "The Great Escape." Cheers.

When i got into wet shaving i accumulated a bunch of kit very quickly. As most of us do. I invited a bunch of my boys over to watch a baseball game and when one went to the bathroom i told him to say howdy to gino (the guy in the proraso poster) hehad no idea what i was talking about but soon called everyone in to check out my shave den. Somehow the agenda was changed and we had a shave party and missed the first 4 innings of the game. Four of the guys were ordering stuff from ebay, amazon, italian barber, and maggard and I'd say made the switch that day to wet shaving. That was the first of 3 shave parties i had.
The second one was when a friend hosting a bachelor's party asked ke for ideas for gifts for the groomsmen and i suggested shave kits for every man in the wedding party. He gave me a 200 dollar limit for each of the 9 men. Every guy got the black handled de89, a razorock plissoft bruce brush, a stand, 2 tucks each of 10 brands of blades, 2 containers of soap (one razorock and one stirling) with matching aftershaves, and a cologne, a dopp kit with toiletries. It went over great.
Morning, Paul. "I'm Doin' Fine." "How You Doin'."Your Jersey accent isn't too bad. Nice shave today. I used my Vintage '47 Super Speed because it is my birthday and both the razor and me are 77 yrs. old. the soap was Sudsie Soapery Lift, blade, a Bic Astor.

Great shave and intro music. SOTD will be with a WW2 era German aluminum safety razor (3 piece). I have been collecting some obscure safety razors lately. Have a great week ahead.
Great shave! My shave was with the Rockwell 6S with the 4 plate with a Personna Blue first use blade. I used Shannon’s Soaps To-Fou soap with Stirling Sandalwood aftershave. It was a really great shave. Her soaps are really nice! Have a great week!

🇿🇦 Sunday 16h30 here .. just had some lamb chops ( curry marinated) on the BBQ ( we call it a BRAAI) with some toasted sandwiches (with tomato, cheese & onions lightly spiced with salt and pepper) done on the coals / open fire .. try it ... 😉

Morning, never tryed this shaving cream, but I have watch your brut videos and had to buy some original brut faberge, so now I have the sparys and the splash on and talc and orginal body spray and the shaving cream, I do love the original scent
Lovely flowers from mrs h. I love tobac soap. Ive never had the splash though. I need to fix that. The razor has been one ive wanted. I have a parker tto, and if im not careful ive had it open a bit. So i like the way the rockwell seems to lock in. My own sotd was my pearl k2. With Fine italian citrus soap and after shave. I love the post shave feel fine products give. My own motd today will be pizza while watching the superbowl. Have a great week

Another Sunday shave. Another beautiful bouquet! Tabac is one of my favorites. The hard puck lasts and lasts. My SOTD: Face lathered with "The Quiet Man" by Wet the Face. Shaved with the Rockwell 6S (a 3rd use Personna Platinum) using the R4 plate for passes 1&2 and the R2 plate for pass 3 and pickups. Post-shave was alum, witch hazel, Dove Men+Care ultra hydra cream, and TQM splash. All the best to you and the Mrs. for a safe and relaxing week ahead.
The flowers are a great highlight! Today's arrangement is particularly lovely.

My SOFTD.
Razor is a vintage Gillette British Rocket Flare Tip from 1954 woth a 7 O'clock Platinum first use.
Brush is a AP 26mm synbad synthetic knot in a white marble handle.
Soap and splash is HC & C Mjolnir.
Balm will be Nivea for men face cream.
Since its Super Bowl Sunday today meal will be a combination of meats smoked in the smoker ribs and brisket. An assortment of appetizers, sandwiches and chili with more snack food. Washing it all down with a few pints.

🇿🇦 Have the leaf 3 blade razor ... love it ! My package from Leaf USA arriving tomorrow with the preshave oil and the Leaf Thorn (single blade) .. can't wait!! You also exicited when you wait for a package with shaving gear / goodies?? Am as excited as a kid waiting to open a Christmas present!! Oh yes .. and having a badger silvertip brush also arriving tomorrow .. oh .. and a vintage shaving scuttle!! AND .. YES .. I am bragging ... hahaha
By the way .. just love Tabac .. have their whole range of shaving cream / shaving soap, shaving lotions and colognes!!
I do matching sets for the same scent overall, mainly Old Spice and Tabac .. shaving soap / cream, after shave, colognes, shower gel, etc. If I dont get matching sets for the afteshave and or deoderant I use scentless shaving cream. Don't like smelling like a rainbow!!

I’ve been using the same puck of tabac since October 2023. Those things last! I had an odd question: has anyone ever told you you smell like an old man / granny’s bathroom / or an old folks home? My wife and daughter will say that to me if I use a “classic” scent aftershave. I just wondered if you’ve ever gotten those comments. It hasn’t stopped me at all 😂 just wondering if you’ve had similar experience.
I had similar comments a few years back from some family...lol.
Beautiful splash of color thanks to Mrs. H. as always. Nice shave Paul💈💈 and great products used. Model T I haven't used but per their other razors, Rockwell surly did an outstanding job. Ah, Tabac..one of my favorites, I was lucky to stock up on the original pucks before they changed the formula. SOTD: T&S "Boreal" soap/splash, ATT R1 razor w/Feather blade, RazoRock "Aluminum 400" synth brush, alum, witch hazel and AV 5in1 balm to end...Fabulous. Nicely done and results worthy, thanks for the video. Super Bowl Sunday here in the states, so a smorgasbord of finger foods including H&S wings, salsa and tortilla chips, Guacamole dip, fresh cut veggies and of course ice cold beer. I used Tabac for the first time in a while recently. It's good stuff. Also, the flowers and your brush are quite attractive.
SOTD: 1948 Gillette super speed, feather blade, Maggard synthetic brush, Declaration Grooming Fake Yellow Light. From the mid west USA!
Nice one paul. Good old Tabac it’s not my favourite but it’s very nice, Lamb without mint sauce NO WAY 🙅♂️ it’s not worth having lamb without mint sauce. Thanks for sharing

I used to love rolled and stuffed breast of lamb when I was growing up. We'd never have broccoli in those days. I'd reckon the best vegetable to have with it is mashed swede. Broccoli has taken over the world! Leave it out! Agree with you about mint sauce, but I also like onion sauce with breast of lamb.

I honestly look forward to the flowers as much as the shaves. I agree on the scent preferences; They definitely change over time. I rather enjoy the classic scents. Feels nostalgic in a way.
Don't listen to the mint lamb haters. They don't know what they're missing. More for us!
My wife treated me to a barber shave and haircut today! It was April 30th, 2024.
We got cows every where here in the U.S. and yet beef prices are through the roof, don't understand it either.

..dinner today is roast shoulder of pork . If you like cheap tasty cuts of I recommend these cuts.. pork fillet/lamb neck fillet/chicken thighs and pigs liver braised with chicken livers hope you enjoy oh you can get the lamb fillet if you can find it most of these fillets lie close to the spine and they don’t do any work so they are very tender and like being over cooked anyway bye for now and have a good day to you all

what do you think about razors with multi blades? I have always wondered why 6 blades could possibly make any difference
I very rarely if ever actually use those, expensive, and you can't clean them properly , I always got better results with the DE or SE blades.
🇿🇦 We have a saying here if you are full of wit and have clever answers .. "You are as sharp as a minora blade" .. OR .. Would call the person jokingly "Minora" .. haha
Lam in some restaurants here in the us would coust u around 50$ and ya old spice does smell like old man Calvin kline to the lil colo that comes in a set
I have the Tabac shave cream in a tube and the shave stick. Is the soap in the bowl different than the stick?
It's the same. All depends which version you have, tallow or vegan. The tallow is slightly brownish compared to the vegan which is white. The shaving cream is yellow.
The razor is it the T1 or the T2?
