Such a stunning deck, I must've missed your original walkthrough, so will search it out now. I can't believe i've not come across this beautiful deck before. It's going on to my wish list for sure!
Thanks Kelly. I always love your deck videos. I have both versions. My second came yesterday and I have not had time to compare. I was asking myself if I really needed both. There are cards I like in both versions, so the answer is yes. I agree with you on the text. But I have old eyes. lol Love the story telling of this deck. What an adventure. Blessings. AnnaO 🙏
Thanks for another wonderful review, I'm happy to hear you like the changes! I learned a lot artistically while creating the deck and was able to refine everything with the 2nd edition, and I am so much happier with it now. Your black edges look great- I'm going to do one of mine that way.

What a fun walkthrough, Kelly! I was so shocked when the dinosaurs showed up in the Lost Forest! Definitely adds to the land that time forgot or center off he earth vibe. Where’s Conan and the lost gods? Maybe that’s their temples in ruins. And it was so thrilling to see the sun show back up in the new skies suit. I’ve never really paid attention to this deck before. I’m rather enchanted, now. I didn’t even realize there were panoramas in it. I am really enthralled with the oceans of the lost forest. I love the addition of the tree lines. The panorama with all of the undersea creatures reminds me of the old undersea fish paintings in old encyclopedias. How fun!

I missed out on the first edition, but I was so happy when I learned she was making a second edition. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive, and it is so gorgeous. I wish the pinks had been kept in the air suit, but that's all. It's so gorgeous, and I agree - it certainly feels like the center of the earth or a lost world. So, so gorgeous.

At first, I was sad to see the blue tones had gone away as an overall, but after seeing your full walkthrough, it really makes sense, and we of course still have the blues in the oceans suit (I don't have the first ed., but in general, love blue/colder tones). Also a little sad to see the pink go away in the air suit, but was happy to see some still in the second half of that suit. Excited to get my 2nd ed. in the mail soon!
I so love your voice and your opinion. I love this new edition. I was DEVastated when missed the first edition. One can really only buy so much (me anyway) And she really came through with all the issues I had with the art in the first one. I did see the blurriness of the artwork, love that she sharpened up the images. I did feel like some of the suits were a little same-y (the wands cards). I don't like words on the back of the cards. I would have rather had the white font, but I appreciate that the titles fade into the background and let the images speak. I too, love the idea of a lost forest. I live around a lot of orchards, and I love when they are in full flower at the end of summer and beginning of fall, all the leaves touch, and even during the day it's dark under the canopy. It feels so magical! Definitely Fae at play. I am so happy this is coming to me...all my stuff is finally coming in too. I have been very 4/P about money during this lock down, and even though my family is in a fairly good position...I've been really looking forward the the kickstarters coming in. Man, though, that Edvard Munch deck looks really interesting...I love what she did! (i don't need more decks, i don't need more decks...)

Kelly I figured I was safe watching this walkthrough, as I don't buy KS decks. I was watching your older walkthroughs. I now have the Barbara Moore Steampunk Tarot and Maybe Lenormand on it's way!!! This is a beautiful walkthrough of a stunning deck though enjoyed watching 💜
Thanks for the comparison walkthrough, Kelly. I like some of the changes but I must resist. Yes, the enhanced images are really nice, but I think the "haziness" of the original suits my usage more. I would love to have a copy of the insert though. I'm interested in the detailed descriptions of the cards.

I just received the 3rd edition in January 2024. So, I thought I'd rewatched your comparison video between the 1st and 2nd editions again. You mentioned in you recent 2023 end of year video that the Lost Forest 1st ed was still one of your most favourite decks. Have you thought to do a comparison with 3rd edition, too 🙏 💞
I haven't looked to see if there are any differences to the 3rd edition, are their card changes?

Thank you for your reply. I just cut and pasted from her recent campaign the following so i was just curious in understandingwhy she made these small changes. :
Updated artwork on: The Fool, The Mage, The Chariot, Wheel of Fortune, Judgment, Queen of Earth, Page of Earth, Knight of Fire plus a beautification pass on much of the panoramic minor arcana. "The Ascent" now replaces "The World", with art from the 2nd edition's bonus card. No project is ever really done, is it?
Each deck comes in a premium new two piece deck box, offering slide-out, matchbox style storage for your cards and guide, printed in ethereal silver-on-black.
I much prefer the 1st edition only because of some of the card meanings for me had changed. The 4 of Earth had that little fox with his tail wrapped around the tree speaks to the essence of holding onto resources. The Sun seems to burn more strongly and that 4 of Oceans with that clam is everything. The egg whole and cracked open are two images I couldn't live without. But it certainly is beautiful and no one would be disappointed in the 2nd edition! Beautiful and stunning artwork!! ❤️
I just wanted to clarify that the four of earth is now a squirrel hoarding acorns, though both versions communicate the idea in their own way. I guess I wanted a little more woodland animal variety!

You & I got the Lost Forest at the same time. I don’t need the newer version, but it is nice to see. *edit hmmm the dinosaurs are a nice add.

ahhhhhh here goes my wish list... X;D though it's a kickstarter deck so that always requires more pentacles which makes it harder to get but oh well :D one at a time lol I'd mix a deck from the two maybe, sometimes :D
