- A collage about the beautiful couple, the french Dominique Marie Beyrand Taylor and the english Roger Meddows Taylor (Queen's drummer). They met when she was personal assistant of Richard Branson, at Hyde Park concert, in 1976. They have 2 kids together, Felix Luther (22 May, 1980) and Rory Eleanor (29 May, 1986). Married on 3rd January, 1988. They separeted, and Roger start a romance wiht english model Debbie Leng. Dominique found a new love too. In 2002, after 3 kids, Roger and Debbie's relationship was over, and he met his new girlfriend, Sarina Potgieter. Dominique still with her man, living a private life. Roger went to live with model Debbie Leng in 1988, but he and Dominique only divorced in 2010, when Roger married Sarina Potgieter.
The song is "These are the days of our lifes" by Roger.

The younger Roger was simply the sexiest, most gorgeous, most exciting man I have ever laid eyes on! Any amt of time spent together would have provided me the most wonderful memories to last a lifetime. Even now, as he has aged decades and presumably matured, Roger is still a very handsome and sexy man. Not to mention, also an incredibly talented musical genius. I would still give almost anything for the privilege of spending time alone with the man. As is sometimes the case with older men, staying faithful is not likely to be as challenging for Roger as it once was. Of course, I do realize he is married to Sarina now, if that counts for much. I assume their's is a happy marriage?

He's kind and Moody but a super sweet man. I cannot disagree with you and one day with younger im 1985-1991, Roger telling him to keep his hands to himself would have been a joy. I love the sense of humor and happened to share it myself. I could never have worked with Freddie Mercury because I don't know if I could have stopped laughing without him being serious occasionally. I'm sure that being a perfectionist,,Freddie Mercury did have his serious moments of course.

Roger and Dom are still very good friends. They say after a couple splits and they’re able to stay friends, they were either never in love or still are...
Roger has said many times that it is important to him to be friends after a split since so much time was dedicated to the relationship.

I don't understand why they were together for 12 years and got married; AND then Rodger runs off with the bimbo, Debbie. I know that Debbie was a model but she was nowhere near the Natural Beauty or Grace that Dominique ever was. Debbie and Rodger did have some beautiful kids! They never married so he remained married to Dominique the entire time he lived with Debbie which pretty much shows right there that he was still in love with Dominique and wasn't wanting to commit to Debbie. Rodger didn't get an official divorce from Dominican till he wanted to marry Serana and she's thirty years his Junior. Nothing personal but she just wants a sugar daddy!!
I believe deep down both of them are still in love with each other, but they're just not living together. They're older and they've accepted what is what it is and I personally think that Rogers young wife's arena is a gold digger and marrying him for name only. Roger isn't stupid but I'm sure it makes him feel good and it did 10 years or so ago when he got with this young girl. Normally a woman 30 years younger doesn't go for an older man unless he's got a lot of money. Love rarely has anything to do with it even though I'm sure that Serena is quite fond of Rodger and loves him in her own way that way isn't the way that Dominique ever loved him and vice versa.
I wish somebody would explain how in the world he ever got with Debbie even though they did have three beautiful kids. Debbie was a model but I never thought she was very attractive and I preferred Dominique's natural beauty & Dominique was real and Debbie was just fake. She's the only thing I don't like about the Breakthrough video and I don't like to be that way. It's just sad that when Rodger and Dominique finally got married in January of 1988 they were together no time and then here comes along this slut. Rodger had always been wonderful around but goodness! I'm sure Rodger loves the fact well he loves his kids he had with Debbie but I don't think he's too fond of her now.
Freddie adored Dom and remained good friends with her even after Roger left her. Dom and Freddie were friends until Freddie died.
I really wish all the members stayed with the women who stuck by them and kept their families together.. You can see the love with them all in those relationships Getting side tracked by models, actresses, etc I gather was too much temptation. John Deacon did stay with his wife and family that

@annasumner yes - Freddie loved Dominique very much. They were good friends until his death. Freddie shared his AIDS diagnosis with her very early on. She had breast cancer and shared that with him, so he wanted to share with her and let her know she could lean on him and that he understood. Also, Freddie and Mary Austin were witnesses when Dom and Roger got married in 1988. Roger went to live with Debbie Leng not long after, but Freddie and Dom remained close.

No, Roger and Deborah Leng were never married. They lived together from 1988 until 2004 and Roger remained legally married to Dominique during this time. They divorced a few years ago and in 2010 Roger married Sarina Potgieter, his current wife.

Dana Payne oh yea! He was the party boy of the bunch but yet everybody always talked about Freddie and blamed him. Just because Freddy was gay or bi sexual towards the late 70s and in the 1980s didn’t mean that he was wilder than Roger. They were all the best of friends and family along with bandmates. They loved one another and they were loyal to each other despite their fights but they made the best music ever!! I don’t blame John Deacon for retiring from music even though I miss him. He’s so silly and so cute in his own little way and a talented bass player. After having six kids with his wife, & Freddie’s death, John was the realistic one, and knew that they could release the tracks that they made with Freddie prior to his death. Band did so in 1995 with “ made in heaven” & John retired from Music in 1997 to be with his wife and six kids😂😂 busy couple! Lol Roger and Brian need the compilations of Queen’s greatest hits 1 & 2. Both Roger and Brian say that John is the business brain of the bunch, and they do a lot of business with him because he’s excellent with finance.

Great pics and vid! I have always wondered why Roger and his wife have stayed married. I read that it was a "marriage of convenience" and that Roger wanted to ensure that his kids with Dom would be "taken care of." I don't really understand that. His kids would be taken care of, no matter what plus he has kids with Deborah. What about those children? Are they NOT taken care of because he never married their Mum? Oh well..none of my business. Just curious.

This photo was taken in 1976. During that time he was not yet dating Dominique, he was dating Chrissy Mullen’s flatmate Josephine Morris, they dated from 1968 (Smile Era) -1976, the one who’s in the picture talking to Brian. She was the one who introduced Brian to Chrissie.

If you're going to post, get facts straight. Debbie and Roger never married. Roger and Dominique only married so the kids would be taken care of - they were young - but surprisingly - Roger's kids with Debbie were all under 18 when they split but still older than Dom/Roger's kids. Roger liked/likes to live the rock star lifestyle thus many girlfriends has been what he has chosen. He seems to fall in love with one and leave another. Veronica is a devout Catholic so she was going to stay with John no matter what. Brian/Anita seem to be that perfect pair. Hope all the remaining band members find love/peace in their lives. Glad Dom found someone. I always thought it was odd that Dom/Roger seemed to dress alike when they'd go out - once or twice, ok, otherwise just really odd.

No one but them know for sure but while they loved each other the general thought is that they weren't IN love after a while and they married less out of being in love and more for the children but they lived seperately and had other relationships before they finally seperated (they were actually still married when he had his three other children with Debbie and only divorced when the kids were older)

The photo at 1:32 at the Day at the Races launch at Kempton Park races Roger is still with Jo Morris. In Brian May's book Queen in 3D he has a better shot naming Jo as the woman sitting next to Roger saying that Jo was with Roger when he first met Roger. Brian said they all had the feeling the two would be together for life, but it was not to be. There is another photo taken by Brian of Roger and Jo in Hawaii when they were on tour between Japan and Australia in 1976. There is also an incredible photo of Freddie performing acrobatics on a clothes pole! Everyone should get this book. It's fantastic!
And everyone thought Brian and Chrissie would be together forever as well. I remember reading once where Freddie said Brian and Chrissie were inseparable. Sad.

Roger stopped smoking because of Dominique I believe having pneumonia and he didn’t want to affect her.
Actually, a person has to want to stop smoking to do so. Others can encourage him to stop, but he has to decide on his own in order to stop successfully. That is GREAT that Roger no longer smokes...good for him and his health!!
