Thanks for the review. I got a bottle many years ago. It's really great around the house, too.

I switched to Holton valve oil in high school and never went back to my old oil (Al Cass, which I hated). The difference was like night and day.

I don't play trumpet, but I can certainly understand that properly functioning valves are just as important in a trumpet as an automobile engine.

i find the Allcas is good for my intermedian 6335g when the valves geth worn down i need to change the oil on the trumpet, valve can leak air and loose pressure the oil is not only for smooth action but also for sealing the gap between the cylinder and the piston

Al Cass is a good brand. I just find that the BiNak is really amazing for my horns

Btw: I clean my trumpet in a warm bath of Simple Green ..dish soap is good like Dawn but I trust Simple Green more than all others...thanks for your tips.... btw: the Simple Green wipes are a fantastic idea for quick valve cleaner so glad you mentioned those.

Paul, you seriously have to try the BiNak - it's a game changer. Get it from their site though, it's cheaper than Amazon...

We use the valve oil that came with the Yamaha trumpet, why would it not be good enough? Looks like a promo video for this unfamiliar oil!

It's fine - this is NOT a promo video. i am just sharing a valuable resource that I know will help people if they choose to use it. I am not endorsed by BiNak Pro.

I think the Yamaha valve oil that comes with a Yamaha horn is really good.
You know what else? Have a really clean mouth before you play, chew sugarfree gum until the flavor's all gone and a bit longer, make that mouth cleany-clean.

Different brands of oils will react differently with people due to body chemistry, plain and simple. Yes, this means you have to spend $$ until you find the right oil for you….a surprising fact is that the most expensive brands may not be the best for certain individuals…experiment

They may be victims of their own success - it's all out of stock here in England!

Try ordering from a US store - maybe Dillons Music or check Weiner Music
