This sounds like a good surprise, unlike the last standalone book he did. The cover is cool, the illustrations look okay, nothing to write home about. I actually just entered into a giveaway for this book. I'm glad you're recovering well!
The palm tree shirt made me smile! So did the fact that you are doing well! Glad you enjoyed the book...I don't anticipate it will be something I will actively seek out, but that is no reflection on your review! Happy 4th! 😁
@@musicroom7185 I appreciate the kind words as always! Although it was a good book, I’m not sure it is worth the steep price tag right now… Happy 4th to you as well! 🎆
Glad your doing well & great review. This book sounds like it's a fun spooky read perfect for summer. I will definitely be ordering a copy for my RL Stine book collection. Happy Fourth of July!
@@ShaunStevensonBooks it’ll spook you for sure! There is something about the ocean that just makes me a bit uneasy. Lakes and ponds not so much. But the ocean? Different ball game.
Great review homie and glad to see you're doing well! I have my copy of this book I just need to read it lol. Glad to hear that it was a good read - I've been itching for more unique standalone titles from Stine instead of just rehashed GB books
the giant tentacle monster was so unnecessary and in fantasy territory (also Stine baited us again on the cover just like in Deep Trouble I bet he did it on purpose because how it's part of the story lol), anyhow kind of interesting seeing cinical parents here and in the Slime Doesn't Pay book (this time was on the forefront rather than at the end), i wonder if the third book will continue on this theme🧐
Lol.. I did expect the “horrible” thing to be a nightmare fuel image but it is actually a horrible made illustration for a horror hook. like could've been the shark was drawn instead of the normal kid
Fresh out of surgery and doing a review - now that's what I call dedication!
@@saintdonoghue haha I couldn’t help it! Especially when it comes to a new R.L. Stine book :)
