Is it possible to combine different discs in one row? I mean maybe one or two cl 2 on the endings of every chain that they work better on the endings of the chain?
It's not something we usually do, Fjarninger. The exception is with CL2 chains - as you can see at 2:14 in the video, we use lighter CL1 Discs at either end of CL2 chains. This has a 'feathering' effect, balancing out the working depth at the chain ends to create a more even finish.
Hi Hendrik, thanks for your comment. K4 front and CL1 rear is a popular combination for seedbed preparation. Bouncing or skipping on the chains is usually a sign that you need to reduce working speed. Swapping your rear K4 Disc Chain for CL1 may help to overcome this issue, but it would be best to speak with our reps to find whether this is the right fit for your conditions. What about K4 discs?
We have k4 all around but thinking of running k4 in front and cl1 in the rear for perfect seedbed?
The reason I'm asking about k4/cl1
We currently running it on hard ground and the back chain tends to bounce if pulling it in the recommended speed.
