I don't want to live in a dictatorship.
I don't think the people who think that Trump will become a dictator, have seen Rules for Rulers.
1. Does every state governor in USA support Trump? These governors can claim access to nukes and the apparatus to use them, using their national guards, and then threaten to launch if under attack. Nuclear launches are decentralized in the USA in that way, for nuclear security reasons.
2. Does the supreme court mostly side with Trump?
3. Does every general and admiral in the military side with Trump? How would this change in the event of a civil war?
4. Does every corporation and its owners side with Trump, or are they opportunists? Merchants historically tend to be opportunists, and enjoy creating environments for trade.
5. Does every billionaire side with Trump, or are they opportunists? Remember, Merchants historically tend to be opportunists, and enjoy creating environments for trade.
People don't extrapolate. They are under the spell of words, "I will be a dictator on day 1 only". Assuming Trump can become a dictator at day 1. I think it's safer to assume "like a dictator". After all, that's much like the executive orders he made.

I have read the decision... It does not protect unofficial acts like the seal team rant. The courts decide whether the act is official or unofficial before taking up the case. Based on their most recent ruling, here's just one "fun" paradox that the SCOTUS has now allowed for:
1. The Constitution (in plain text) gives the President alone the power to hand out pardons for federal crimes (an official act).
2. The Constitution (in plain text) clearly lists bribery (a crime) as one specific reason that a President can be impeached, and removed from office for.
3. A President may now accept a bribe (a crime) for a pardon (an official act) ... and even if they were 100% House impeached, 100% Senate convicted, and then tossed out of office and politics forever ... that President, that person non-grata ... that criminal ... may NEVER be prosecuted for the crime that they were impeached for.

Yes and no, if it is carrying out a congressional order or falls under the constitution, then yes. If it does not do that then no he cannot. Unlike the police, congress, FBI and other organizations, there was no immunity for a president's actions while in office after he left. This states he has immunity and that immunity must be removed before being able to set a criminal trial.
