I did a weeks work experience on the MV Freshwater in 1989 for highschool and got to get an amazing experience that could never be repeated. The Manly Ferries of Sydney harbour are absolutely spectacular and iconic ❤.
She probably won’t be retired anytime soon, they keep on changing their minds about everything. It’s simple, they’ll cut up Narrabeen for parts, only to acquire parts that can keep Freshwater and either Collaroy or Queenscliff going (probably Collaroy). I don’t think they’ll bring Queenscliff back, when I say that, I mean to replace Collaroy. #savethemanlyferries
And they are stupid enough to tell us that these new ferries are going to handle these big swells. It’s a great behind the seas video I would like to see more.
@@JB-ie9hj he along with everybody who supports this rash decision should be made to do the Manly run when there us a two metre swell coming through the heads, I’m sure they’ll change their minds then.
@@peterbuckley3877 I agree with you and how ridiculous Chinese made Catamarans replacing these graceful Australian made ships and run by a French company . Unfortunately they won’t change there mind as they would not want to back down .It is just unbelievable
@@JB-ie9hj they I Indonesian made aren’t they or ist that the other ones? I know the smaller ones were made in Newcastle I fail to see why we can’t manufacture locally.
