Great video Captain. Have you ever encountered a stowaway in your jet? There’s a channel that I follow on UA-cam of chief makoi who does ships He had a stowaway from Richard’s Bay and they found him 2 days later They had to turn back the ship to Richards Bay just to take him back to shore
I miss seeing a row of 5 747s docked at the terminal… when I was a kid the airport was filled with them and I’m literally still under 20 years old… I use to think the 747 hump looks weird when I was little but now I’d drive a long way to see a 747
Excellent video! I'm only a MSFS pilot (too old to enter aviation), and only on 777 and 787, but I'm likely switching to a Cathay 747. I've only walked around virtually in game, but this will actually help me complete the walk around properly.
Love this video quick question toward the rear of the wings an body there looks like a canvas covering or fairing is that some sort of cover? I saw it right at the 12:22 mark in your video. Thanks and keep them coming!!
Captain Obet, I didn't notice during the walk around but does the nose open on this model, or is this -400 a passenger conversion? Just curious if there are some kind of locking indicators for the hinged nose and the SCD. Great video! Glad you're wearing hearing protection with those packs screaming!
It’s not a passenger conversion, the hump is the size of the -100 -200 and sp, with 3 windows on the upper deck. The freighter is designed like this, the -100, -200, -300 and sp does not fly, so that’s one way to find out your question
At 2.34 you mentioned that there should be no excessive leakage of oil or other fluid. How much is excessive? Who determines that? Should there be any leakage at all? Otherwise thanks for the video, Skipper.

I just keep learning so much every time. Thanks Captain. Safe travels.
The walk around was really cool. Thanks Captain. Later
Thanks. Never seen a detailed walk around on a 747 like this. ❤

Always very interesting videos full of clear explanations: thank you Captain and later!
You brought back old memories Capt. Later
Thx alot for the detailed explanations of your walk around 👍😎 100 % like factor 😃
Very nice. I like the attention to detail

Thank you captain for illustrating beautiful piece of information

cool, Capt.. learnt a lot.. HF antenna, always wondered what it was..
This was really informative, as like all of your UA-cam's. Do you ever come to London?

On sunny days do an extra walkaround to have a spare for when its raining.
Captain Obet, what are the NACA ducts just forward of the jettison tubes for? Hadn't noticed them before.
@@dmacdonell NACA are essentially for pressurising the surge tank to some degree but also are an outlet.

Could you talk more about your airline not using tail stands anymore?
Why there are two sets of Elevators and Rudders. Do they both work at same time Or part by part depending on some specific situation?

Hello, Sir.
Is it safe to fly without Logo Light and only one wing inspection light. I have seen some aircraft taking off in the same conditions.
