Realizing this as a kid made me angry that you can’t acknowledge what you know to anyone about all the little secrets and things you see… you just have to sit back and watch, observe…
Another detail regarding this guy is that the all-night mask is how this guy is running both shops almost 24/7 with only an hour transition between jobs. He’s using that to stay awake so he can rake in the most money during the festival (which in-game is stated to be less populated than usual) by stealing from people and selling their things back. He only sells the mask if you foil or kill Sakon and he tries to sell it for a huge profit to cut his losses. Very lovely detail for what’s literally just a shop guy and one that’s not even used much at that.
I'm ashamed to say I didn't even realize this until about a year ago. This guy also has an itching problem in Ocarina of Time. In OoT, he often finishes sentences with "seriously!", whereas in Majora's Mask he often finishes sentences with "I kid you not!"
This game has a crazy amount of detail. Been playing this game since it released and only just learned that Sakon actually comes into town and goes to the curiosity shop after mugging the old lady. The bomb lady comes home while he's bargaining too.
Did you know you can kill him? If you shoot an arrow at him when he mugs granny he'll explode and is removed from the game until you go back in time. A horrified 11 yo me discovered that in 2000
It's wild how literally multiple times a year I learn some new small detail that's hidden in this game. (I mean the mask giving you new dialogue in some shops.) MM truly is a masterpiece.
Something I noticed recently... As the Curiosity Shop owner, he's racist to Zoras and Gorons, but as the Trading Post owner he actually goes out of his way to compliment their appearance
@Cirquet I’ve never seen any videos of it but do you know about the little elf picking fruit from the tree? You can only see the elf from a weird angle and I couldn’t find a way to get any dialogue. Haven’t seen the elf on any Zelda wikis or forums. Perhaps people on this channel may know what I’m talking about though?
The tree outside the observatory? It's the part-time worker, he's trying to reach a rupee that's stuck there. He's there on the first day and if you roll into the tree he'll fall down and get mad at you
@@Cirquet Amazing. Thanks for that. I never thought to roll to get him. I only remember him being seen from a weird angle of the camera. You should totallly make a vid on that. Anyone I know who's played Majora's Mask never knew what I was talking about. You my friend are a master expert indeed.
Wait a minute. Just looked up who you meant by the part-time worker. I'm not sure if that's the guy. Unless I'm remembering what I saw incorrectly. May have to boot up the old 64 sometime soon
Siempre me gustó este detalle jajaja. Yo siempre traté de buscar en la tienda si existía algún pasaje oculto que conecte ambas tiendas ya que el vendedor tiene que ir de un lugar a otro por algún lado jajaja😅
They're not the same guy, I think you're just reading it one way and trying to make it seem so like they are. When the original guy says "I have to get ready for the night shift," he's preparing to end his shift for the next guy. The next guy is the younger dude he must have hired who doesn't own the business but holds the late shift for the owner, the original guy. Then we see the original guy again at his other business, the curiosity shop, and it's definitely the original guy from the first business, because he's just a business owner in the end and the other guy was his employee. MYTH DE-REALIZED!
I think you're misunderstanding the video, what I was showing here is that the trading post owner is the same guy as the curiosity shop owner, not the part-time worker
His disguise just includes a toupee and aviator sunglasses
A man of culture obviously
Realizing this as a kid made me angry that you can’t acknowledge what you know to anyone about all the little secrets and things you see… you just have to sit back and watch, observe…
Also, why is he so itchy…? Never an explanation! 🤣
@@BreakingMercury he’s the same model as the fishing pool guy from ocarina. Probably mosquitoes
That’s always so frustrating. Every time you turn back time, it erases all the things you do, and you can’t even warn or tell anyone anything!
@@BreakingMercury Based on that Hena girl from Twilight Princess, probably bad genetics.
Um..... it's called telling your friends
Shopkeeper: (Doesn't notice you)
Also Shopkeeper: We're closing up shop so you have to leave.
his back is always itchy because he can never shake off the guilt and horror of the crimes he's committed
I didn't know you could talk to NPCs with the stone mask and they don't realise you're there. How many NPCs does this work on?
A lot of them will react to it, but they don't say anything interesting. This is one of the more interesting things you can overhear
I also didn't know that. Nice find, Cirquet!

I didn't know that last part but the sakon conversation is a funny sence imo

That stone mask dialogue from the part time worker is sick, nice find

MM truly is a masterpiece.
I NEVER picked up on this until now. Super cool find!
Never get sick of this fun finds in MM.
West clocktown at night is such a perfect hangout. I imagine if it had an online version.
I literally never made this connection
After playing for 20 years
same

I played the collectors edition version of majora’s mask and discovering this as my 9 year old self was cool.
I first played the game in 2003 and I was today years old when I found out I can do this in the game.
Wow you guys are at 6k subs that’s great will always be a fan
Another banger
"I want you to tell me the difference between this guy and that guy"
"Their the same guy"
The curiousity shop man really needs to see a Dermatologist. That itching has lasted for sure more than a month. 😂
I... just realised this part-timer is who inspired Baito from Wind Waker. Always wondered what was up with him.
His hyrulean counterpart is a fisherman in ocarina of time.
Toupee...
Wait I didn't even realize this was supposed to be a secret or hidden
This game is so alive.
I love your content, keep it up!
He's the town dealer omgg look at those LiPS he be hitting that thang too much
I knew it all along!
Yeah..

I feel so fucking stupid right now
in oot he's also bald and you can take his hat off, clearly wearing a wig when you go to the day shop
actually, it's not a wig! he loses his hair after the 7 years.
@@keiyuk i was referring to MM when i mentioned the wig
HOLY SHIT
Could you please do your next ambience video for the Romani ranch during the Alien attack? Just for extra nightmares
