That is cool that you got your DW going, but... See the post I made above, it appears that if you don't do something about the suction hose, it will cause another pump failure down the road. So, either the upgrade kit, or use the automotive hose mentioned in the link above, or another option is to wind a copper wire into a spiral (wind about a foot of bare #14 copper wire around a 3/4" pipe to preform it into a spiral) and work it into the suction tube with needle nose pliers. Thanks ApplianceVideo for your help.
FredF1 Fred finally installed the upgrade, when no one was in the house to bother me. Seems to be working. My wife will of course approve after she test fires it.
I had one of these at a customers home yesterday I walked in and it had an e03 code it was full of water so I vacuumed the water out and reset the break and tried to start it into a cycle it never started a cycle it just sat there and went back to e03 which is wash motor error, so I reset the breaker again and then tried to put it into drain just trying to get it to do something then it went to and e11 which is the drain valve, in either cycle the motors never hummed or anything....main pcb a safe assumption?

For me, the leak was at the door and was caused by our baby climbing on the door. After a lot of head scratching, I finally determined that water was escaping (leaking) on the mid-left side of the door, running downwards and obviously eventually got caught in the tub which caused Error 01. Grabbing the door and twisting it hard corrected the issue. The problem now reappeared 3 years later. Twisting the door again and applying silicone grease (food safe) to the seals seems to have fixed it. However, since the machine is 5 years old it's probably a good idea to replace the door/tub seals (parts 3 and 49), so I'm ordering replacements....

bought My pump from the local store at $150. FreF1 did that sold your problem? Did it reset the leak lights? I am drying out my tub now with fans to insure before I put it back together.
alderete74 After I posted this, I agonized for awhile over the repair/replace option, then I went to Lowes and bought a KitchenAid dishwasher, which will be delivered tomorrow. So, I'm not actually going to repair the DW. I think your leak light should reset if you cycle the power to the DW, but I'm not sure. You don't need to dry out the tub, only the plastic 'catch' plate on the bottom of the dishwasher where the leak sensor is, to get the leak error to reset. I considered putting a drain from the leak catch plate (drill a hole in it and epoxy a tube going down to a basement drain), because the pump shaft seal leak is not a large leak, and the pump shaft seal looked like it would not get a lot worse. But I didn't really want to spend more time or money repairing a dishwasher with a bad reputation. One other issue-- While looking for a place to buy the pump online, I found out there is also another kit for the circulation pump-- an upgrade of the hoses attached to the pump, so that they don't collapse on the suction side. The fact there are more issues with the DW tipped the scale toward buying a new DW, for me. Good luck
FredF1 thanks for the response. Since I have the time I decided to take a gamble and buy a new pump and also the bottom seal. I agree with you on your assessment of the DW. I could be chasing a false economy!. I was surprised to see the pump appeared to have a very small leak which likely could have been tolerated. There was a significant amount of water for such a small leak but it could have just accumulated over time. I decided to replace the bottom rubber seal just in case ($28). I dried out the DW even put a fan on it last night and plan on installing this morning. I am really hoping this will do the trick as I'm not going to be able to recover the loss and I can't take the parts back. Again thanks for the response.
alderete74 Read this whole comment... The part number for the upgrade to the suction hose is 154838201, if you search for 154838201 on appliancejunk.com you will find the explanation of the hose issue, it is actually called a 'heater support assembly'. You need to replace the hoses, it will solve the poor washing issue that many complain about, because if the pump is 'starved' due to a collapsed suction hose, the pump will not be able put out enough flow to spray the dishes well. Oh, after more googling, the best and final discussion on this subject is on a set of comments on amazon.com, read the whole thing, it is very good, it is at www.amazon.com/review/RXPDW8KT4AO8X So the bottom line is you need to replace the hoses, it is important, it is the source of the problem. If you don't, you will eventually have the poor washing problem, and soon after the pump will fail again. Good Luck

John Hader you can usually hear the motor seized up or you can check for voltage at the control. If the board is sending voltage to the motor and the motor isn’t running then you have a bad motor.
