    For increased safety, it is advisable to connect your charger into mains power, before you plug in charging wire for battery.

      @@Robocraze I don't think so. The seller of this product must include a complete manual easy to understand and in a correct language. The manual that comes with it is difficult to understand since one is not sure what to look for, as differente kind of batteries (like Li-Ion) as well. For instance to discharge a single LI-ion battery, it does not explain how to do it or what to check for in an undestandable manner.
      With all the chargers easy to use in the market I don't know how could I make a mistake to buy this one.

    This video has many errors in it.
    1) Never connect the cable to the battery first, your risking the other end of the cable with exposed leads touching each other, etc. First, connect it to the B6 then to the battery then balance port.
    2) Amp setting. you should enter the battery capacity... For 1500 mAh, enter 1.5 Amps.... Etc.

      So, for example:
      5200 mAH 2S Lipo:
      Charge at 1C: 5200/1000= 5.2 Amps.
      Fully Charged Voltage for 2S lipo is 8.4V
      Power Draw: 5.2A * 8.4V = 43.68 watts.
      Your adapter must be able to supply that

    You set the AMP wrong. For safety just divide the battery MaH with a 1000. So in your case the charging AMP is 2000/1000 = 2. ... Your first cell voltage (3.75) is way off by the way. There must/can be only 0.1 rate difference between the cells. Check your connectors, if it stays way of your battery is dead or it gonna catch fire. So be careful

      @Robocraze  Рік тому +1

      It's recommended to charge at a rate of 1C, which for a 5200mAh battery would be 5.2A. However, if the charger doesn't have an exact setting of 5.2A, you can choose the closest available option that is lower, such as 5A.It's generally recommended to store LiPo batteries at around 3.8V per cell, which for a 2S battery would be around 7.6V.

      Hello! Thanks for the positive feedback! To manage discharge settings, you should set the cutoff voltage to prevent over-discharging your battery. Hi,
      It is recommended that you charge a battery at 1C or lower to extend the lifespan, as charging at higher C can cause damage your battery. But this is also limited by the power rating of the adapter you are using. Do not set the charging current to a value greater than the power adapter can supply.

    I have a 5200mAh battery, 2 cell. 50C 7.4V 38.48Wh. I am not sure what setting to put the charger at. I have it at LiPo because that's the battery type. Instructions says between .5C and 1C is the charge rate.

    • @Robocraze
      @Robocraze  2 роки тому

      If you use 1C setting, the B6 will try to charge the battery with 5.6A. But you have to ensure that your adaptor supports this current rating. If your adaptor supports less amperage, then reduce the C to match 75% of the max output of your adaptor.
      For example if your adaptor supports 4A, then you can charge it at 0.5C which would approx be at 2.3A

  • @The.JZA.
    @The.JZA. 4 роки тому

    Can you please explain why you chose to charge at 0.5amps? You said the adaptor is 1amp, what do you mean? My batteries say they can charge at 3amps. Should I still set them to 0.5amps?

    • @Robocraze
      @Robocraze  4 роки тому

      Hi,
      Charging current is kept under the limits for safety purposes. The current used also depends on the wire used for charging. If the adapter allows you to draw 3A, then its safe to keep it at around 2.5A

    Nice video, but I have some question about saving and loading data from memories that I hope you can help me with...
    When saving data to one of the memories, you're asked for the charge voltage on two subsequent screens. As a test I entered a different value on the first screen vs. the second. When I save this, it simply accepts the value from the first screen. It ignores the value from the second screen without complaining. Can anyone tell me whether these two values actually represent two different things?
    Also when saving data to one of the memories you're asked to enter the battery capacity. But this does not appear to impact the "capacity cut-off" value it uses when charging. Even after loading this data, it still seems to use the "capacity cut-off" value from the user settings menu. Am I missing something? What is the battery capacity in the saved data used for?
    Charge vs. Balance: I'm surprised the default is not to balance charge. I'm also surprised that when loading data from memory, that data can be used to charge, but not to balance charge. Again, I feel like I'm missing something.
    Finally, I've found that the charger doesn't complain if I leave the balance tab unplugged for "charge" mode, but it does complain and fail if I start charging in charge mode with the balance tab plugged in and then unplug it while charging. Is this the expected behavior?
    Any tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    • @Robocraze
      @Robocraze  3 роки тому

      There are two kinds of Lithium batteries. Li-Po and Li-ion. So depending on your battery type, it's best to choose the exact settings, that is if you have Li-ion, select Li-ion, or if you have Li-Po, select Li-Po. But in case you don't have the corresponding setting, you can use the other setting and it should be fine in most cases depedning on the exact specifications of your battery (that is maximum allowable current, voltage, etc)

      Check the capacity of the battery to determine the C value. It is recommended that you charge a battery at 1C or lower to extend the lifespan, as charging at higher C can cause damage your battery. For example: If your battery is 1300 mAh - it is recommended to charge the battery at 1.3 A (1C). If your battery is 4800 mAh, it can support up to 4.8 A (1C).
      The charging current is also limited by the adapter being used. Do not use settings more than the rated input of the charger as given below:

      Zdravo Mujo, javljam se iz Srbije. Deliš miliampere tvoje baterije sa 1000. Na primer: 3000/1000=3, odnosno 3A-ampera. Od kvaliteta baterije zavisi i struja punjenja, broja ciklusa punjenja i pražnjenja... Lipo baterije imaju nominalnu voltažu od 3,7V po ćeliji, pune se do 4,2V po ćeliji, ne bi trebalo da se prazne ispod 3,6 ili 3,5V po ćeliji. Takođe je bitno da imaš dobar lipo punjač, sa opcijama punjenje, pražnjenje, balansiranje, brzo punjenje, storage (funkcija za delimično punjenje, kada duže vremena nećeš da koristiš bateriju) tada se puni do 3,8V po ćeliji. Moj savet je da tvoju bateriju puniš sa 2 do 2,5A i uvek u BALANCE modu. Nadam se da sam bar malo pomogao. Živ bio i sve najbolje.

    I have the same charger, but it won't charge. I've done the exact same set-up except for 2s. It will start charging and within 5 seconds, stop and cycle back to the home screen. Any ideas? It does it with brand new and well used batteries. Fully charged, half dead and dead it's all the same.

      Check the charger display for any error messages or warnings that may indicate an issue with the battery or charger.

      Hi,
      It is recommended that you charge a battery at 1C or lower to extend the lifespan, as charging at higher C can cause damage your battery. For an 1800 mAh battery, recommended setting would be 1A to 1.8A. This is also limited by the adapter you are using. Do not set the charging current to a value greater than the power adapter can supply.

      Hi,
      It is recommended that you charge a battery at 1C or lower to extend the lifespan, as charging at higher C can cause damage your battery. For example: If your battery is 5200 mAh - you can use up to 5 Amps to charge it since that is the max this charger can output, however, the charging current is also limited by the adapter being used. Do not give current higher than your adapter can supply.
