Thank you for sharing!! I absolutely love the look of old wood cabins, and I love the wood you guys have used to make this into a very homey, and quaint home on wheels, as well as, the aesthetics and simple living environment!!! I’m saving this video!! Hopefully, one day I’ll be able to be out there, too!! Praying and Dreaming!!
You both did a amazing job. Im working on mine now. I have a 2007 chevy express 2500. My mission this week is new seats. I bought them ,then its seems everyday something comes up or its raining. Plus im lazy, lol. I really like the woodwork. Do you like not being able to get in the back? Im making a swivel seat on the passenger side. The thing i like about vans is being able to get in the back without having to get out of the vehicle. Hey everyone have there thing. Yours is beautiful
I hear ya! Our original design had a pathway to the back, but unfortunately we had to scrap it because we needed more storage space and room for a kitchen. Since we have 2 cats, we also had to build in a litter box area. So if our Van was a bit bigger, we would definitely make it so we could walk to the back without any issues. For now it works. Sometimes if we don’t want to get out completely we’ll just climb over lol. A swivel seat is a fantastic idea. Definitely take your time if you can. If we had more time we would have. We built it in a month and a half due to our rental apartment lease ending soon. Good luck! Sounds exciting 😄
Good question! We are going to post a reel soon about how we use the bathroom, cook meals, etc. But we use a propane two burner stove that we store behind the front passenger seat! All we have to do is pull it out and place it on our counter. We opted to not build anything in because that would take up our limited counter space 🙂
Have you considered putting the make and model in the title? Im no expert and I know that you’re not asking for advice but I feel like it would help with search and with the algorithm. Best of luck
I have a medium roof 250... where do you store your portable panels? I like the shelf your two garage drawers creates; I could do that and store my panels on top. Now I just bungee them behind the passenger seat, but they're HUGE.
We actually do the same haha we store them behind the passenger seat. They are quite large! We probably would store it in the back if we didn’t have our camping gear
I love it I am currently looking for a van just like this! I think you guys did an awesome job! How do your cats like it? I have a couple of cats that would be going with me the only down side is they never been out of the house, even their vet comes to my house! xoxo Carla
Thanks so much! Our cats loooove going to new places everyday. We did however introduce them to the outdoors before doing this. It was a big transition, especially being in a tiny space. So we made sure we were putting their needs first during the build so they would be as comfortable as possible. We would try taking them on short car rides to build up their confidence moving around and if you ever do decide to go through with getting a van, we would suggest having a place for them to hide within the van. Our black cat is afraid of everything haha so the transition for him was a bit slower, but he loves it now! We think you should do it! 😄
@@Beanbugging I been wanting to do this for about 3 years now its finding a van on the East Coast that does not have a ton of rust. I am a new subscriber and I look forward to all you adventures !
While I can appreciate your van build for the FEW aspects that are of your own choice. I also know that it is most definitely a copycat and not UNIQUE! YOU HAVE almost entirely been TAKEN from and COPIED in concept, design, color palette, and esthetics right down to the background music you are playing in your videos From the UA-cam "On the Wildside" (Laura,Aaron and Lufy). So how about showing some respect, dignity, honesty, integrity and authenticity in actually giving credit where the actual credit is due to the platform that you are replicating instead of what you have opted to do of riding on the tails of THEIR lovely creation that is successful for it's own merit and nature as it has been created "UNIQUELY by them" Laura and Aaron on their UA-cam channel because of who THEY are."
We gathered inspiration from a lot of vanlifers when creating our Van. We grabbed inspiration from on the wild side, travel wild to be free, and let’s play ride and seek all on instagram who are amongst our favorite and built environmentally friendly vans which we wanted to continue ourselves. Thank you for watching and for your backhanded compliment.
This is amazing! You have thoughtfully considered every inch! It looks so cozy and inviting! I can't wait to see where you go!
It looks like you have everything you need in there. So comfy looking.

I watched the video twice. I didn't see a stove, grill, or hot plate. How do you cook your food?

@@Beanbugging thank you so much! Perhaps I should build like you have so that they're a bit protected by a cabinet. Thanks for the idea!
