Bull Head is brutal! Trillium Gap is really nice. Been to Mt. LeConte several times in the 1990s by every route. Longest was from Newfound Gap/Boulevard but was the most amazing route.

What a wonderful video? For all the times we’ve trekked up to the lodges (always taking the Alum Cave Bluff Trail) we’ve never stayed at the lodges. Always looked around, picnicked, and headed back down. Loved your documenting the lodges, meals, hikes, sunrise, all in an excellent video. The last time we hiked up there we had to make the trek in the rain but still loved every minute. Thank you for posting! Subscribed.

Y'all inspire me!! I would love to get out and hike more. But since I can't I enjoy sitting in bed after a long shift and watch your videos. Sometimes I feel like I'm right there hiking with you. Some of the spots I know very well and some I don't I wish to see them all one-day. When I have really bad days and bad calls on rescue I relax with videos of the Smokies just to take me away to my happy place camping with my family hiking to the top of the world to see what he has created for us all to enjoy time and time again. Again thank you so much for your videos they have helped me mentally countless times.

LeConte is an awesome place. I hiked up The Alum Cave trail to LeConte last fall. Tough hike, but definitely worth it. Wish I would have booked a cabin, but didn't even realize this was avaiable. Will have to do this hike again in the future and definitely stay the night and also pick up a T-shirt that I forget to get while there.

Great video, Braids!! I did this hike in May of 2020 when a lot of places in the park were still restricted, due to Covid, including the Alum Cave Trail. I decided to go hike up Rainbow Falls Trail to the falls, not planning on going further, much less to LeConte Lodge. However, to the lodge I went. It had been re-opened for only 4 days, and I do not believe that any one was staying there. I bought a magnet at the store. I was thinking about taking the Trillium Gap Trail down. It was on a Thursday, and I knew that the Llama Train traditionally comes up on this day of the week. However, I ended up going down the Bullhead Trail too. There were a number of downed trees and I gave one of the them a piece of skin from my leg and I now have a nice scar. Great memories!! :) Greetings from Washington state!!

Great positivity and it's a shame no one else here could match it before today apparently. I'd use Alum Cave trail, which is still 5 miles with 2700' of elevation gain. You'll want to plan ahead for parking, though. In popular times, that parking lot fills up really fast and sometimes the cars are there for days.
