This dish is an absolute hit at home now, I love it. Quick, healthy, good strong flavours, meat-free, I recommended it to a lot of people. Thanks for sharing this!
We do something very similar to this and my wife makes a dish with potatoes, garlic cloves, olive oil, and zucchini where it's all cooked together and that too is pretty darned scrumptious. When I was a poor art student cabbage was the cheapest vegetable I could buy, so I would steam sliced cabbage and green onions in a colander above a pot of pasta and then combine with olive oil, grated cheese, and seasonings. Cheap, filling, and relatively good for you.

my mother does exactly the same way, very popular dish in Italy, well done! leave some pasta water little, add parmesan cheese and if is too dry because of the cheese pour the little pasta water , mmmm delicious and simple dish!
I made this for dinner today and we all loved it. My son usually hates broccoli with a vengeance. He ate everything on his plate. Thank you for a great recipe. Will be making it again in a few days. So simple yet so much flavour.
+Crumbs Food I've actually made it 4 times since my last comment. My whole family love it. Thank you for giving me something that I can make in minutes.
This is such a lifesaver! I work as an au pair for two boys who are super fussy when it comes to food and this dish is just amazing! Thanks guys, would love to see more simple dishes (for kids) like this :) xx
+Julie Joanne Great, thanks Julie. Will put our thinking caps on. One which is popular is pasta with smoked salmon and cream cheese, you should be able to find it quite easily if you search those terms. And if you have any secret recipes up your sleeve...
Super easy and tasty! Very suitable for university student (like me) who ran out of ideas but don't wanna go back to instant noodle :D Thank you very much!
you are lovely! if you want when you fry galric you can add pine nuts and raisin...trust me it's delicious. it's another way we make this recipe. greetings from italy!
Really glad I found you, I leant this recipe from an American Italian but she didn't use garlic or chilli and used loads of butter instead of oil, it's so much better your way, thank you!
Just made this and I added shallots in the beginning along with the garlic. It was fabulous, and so so so easy to throw it together. Thank you ladies for such a great video and I subscribed :)
I tried this recipe and it is so good!! I tried other recipe from other youtube video and it was the one mixing with parsley and It wasn't that good- This one is much easier to make and it is tasty!!!😍😍😍 Thanks for sharing the recipe and love ur videos! The quality r amazing!!!!💜💜💜
Job well done :) I would say put the broccoli in a little later as it looked to fall a part a little under all the mixing but yes a job well done & it looks very nice.
Do! So easy, but really tasty. You just need to cook the broccolli so much that it breaks down and almost forms a kind of sauce. Let us know how you get on.
Wood - preferably bamboo - boards are the way to go. Ceramic dulls the knives like no tomorrow. Wood is soft enough not to damage the knife edge. Sure, you can't put them in the dishwasher, but they're naturally antibacterial and gorgeous to boot. The white synthetic boards are another option, but there's nothing like the feel of a bamboo cutting board.
I would definetely make this recipe but im gonna use goat cheese (gouda) cuz im alergic to cow milk and obviousley to the cheese, so i think the gouda goat cheese is gonna be great cuz taste delicious
No. Put the broccoli in the colander on top of the boiling pasta. Put a saucepan lid over the broccoli. Thus the pasta cooks below and the broccoli is steamed above, Add all to olive oil and garlic. Drizzle lemon over. Forget the cheese unless you want to put on weight!
I still make this dish sooo much after seeing this video in 2012. It was a lifesaver at university!
My mom and I make this every month it's so delicious, simple, and healthy! Thanks for the wonderful video.
Clare Ann We're so happy to know that. It is such a great recipe.

Hello, was the water not boiling? It should have been.

Thank you! It only lets in micro-chipped cats. Pretty clever!

Pasta Puttanesca: spaghetti, garlic, anchovies, dried chilli, tinned tomatoes, black olives & capers. It's a great (meat free) dish!
maybe try a cheese sauce instead of just cheese on top because when i tried it, it tasted amazing
Works with cauliflower and / or spinach too :)
Um, yeah!

I will try this today hehehe *:)
I don't suppose you'd be able to make a homemade pesto pasta? Perhaps with chicken? bet you'd make a scrummy recipe!
TheFWorld liked this! :O
Someone suggested asparagus, which is a nice idea. Um. Not sure about any other veg. Can't think of any offhand.
"No child eats broccoli." Hey! When I was a kid, Broccoli was one of my favourite vegetables!

I make this often but use about three times as much garlic (!), pecorino, and add about a 1/3 cup of the pasta water
