    This is my number 1 game killer. Hard not to fall back into the roll. The small point about falling back into the right heel too early is such a light bulb for me and I've never seen anyone highlight it for a cause of coming too inside. Also, Shout out Gab for the OG of golf vlogs on YT

    Thanks so much for filming a session with “one of us”………the average golfer trying to break 90 or 80 vs the 70’s. It shows some of the issues us middle handicappers face. But still love to see the low handicapper’s swing too…….to try and emulate. As always great verbal and physical instructions!

      @@PorzakGolf thanks so much! makes sense in multiple aspects for me, not just a 2D idea. also not many talk about how you can get the club inside if your hips open too early even with a good takeaway with the body/club/arms- guilty! I often feel my best drives are when I feel a little resistance in my torso in the backswing when I feel like I don't turn my hips

    This is the holy grail of the golf swing. I played for 30 years with an inside takeaway and was able to shoot pretty low. Inside takeaways "feel" good. But I suffered from one or a few horrible misses a round; throwing the turf over the ball. I always set my hands too far ahead of the ball which brought the leading edge into play. I highly recommend a snip from one of Adam's videos where he explains how the clubface should rest behind the ball. It's going to feel open at first. But weirdly the ball flight is lower, and the misses are thin, which is a good thing. Great stuff dude

    You are one of the best guys for making sense in golf videos. You comment that you want your student to get rid of the “cut” and replace it with a straight shot as he approves. But isn’t a little bit of a fade a good stock shot to aim for? Which I think particularly lends itself to a backswing where the club is in front of the hands for a good part of it. A straight shot is fantastic, but it can become a bit of a two-way miss.

    • @PorzakGolf
      @PorzakGolf  Рік тому +2

      Thank you Gary, and your spot on. Having a dependable shape under pressure is a must! A frozen ball flight is a sign of true connection and pure rotation through impact and we practice that often and then shape off that baseline!

    Great video. I’ve already watched it 3x to try to get every ounce of wisdom out of it! Can you elaborate more on the 45? What exactly is it in relation to and how does it fit with the 10 and 10 principle?

    • @benz0317
      @benz0317 10 місяців тому +1

      Seen it on one of his other videos. If you think of a line along your foot line, that’s parallel to your target line, then another line perpendicular to that one, from the ball running through your legs, that would make a 90 degree angle with the “foot line” line. Now think of a 45 degree angle between those 2 lines and think about cocking the club up with your wrists to get the club over that 45 degree line (as to what your hands should do) while blending in a shoulder turn. It’s another way to prevent sucking the club too far inside (with too little wrist cock) at the start of your backswing. Hope that makes sense.

    Awesome video, been struggling with an inside takeaway for years now. Such a comprehensive breakdown of each phase. Question: I've noticed when trying to get the club on plane I'm then prone to reverse pivot or get the left shoulder dipping, is this common? And any tips or check points on this?

    This is a great video on the takeaway! I struggle with keeping and feeling the club is in the center of my body. I’m obsessed with it now! ? I’m confused with what this actually is? When I look at instruction video it looks like hands are kinda center at beginning but as the shoulder turns the hands move to right shoulder? My friends say it looks like my arms are are stiff as boards in the entire swing. But as I rewatch this video over and over I pick up more little details. But still confused on the hand center part.

    One question- any difference or changes with driver?
    Seems I lose this look with driver, get too inside and end up long and across the line at top

    • @PorzakGolf
      @PorzakGolf  3 роки тому

      The longer the club, the more the disconnection gets exaggerated, you need to feel that big body turn with a short arm swing to make sure your arms stay in the center of your body. Sounds like you are getting the hands and arms disconnected from the body at the top and then have to recover on the way down. Everything stays the same with driver, accept stance width changes and set up, but gets harder to do as club gets longer.

    Hey @ the 15:00 mark you have him set checkpoint one then swing. Why cant you just swing that way everytime?? You don't need the motion to checkpoint one for power, but it is so easy to mess up the first part of backswing. Why not just get to checkpoint one, make sure it is good then start your swing??
