    I found great websites linked to Icelands stores that sell the Plotulopi. I received my yarn in less then a week to the US. This was a very reasonable price I paid for a sweater kit. It was only $23 plus shipping for 5 plates of this yarn. I ordered two kits to counter the air mail shipping costs. Its so easy to source this yarn in all colors directly from Iceland benefitting them the most! For anyone looking for this yarn, order it from Iceland and you will be so happy you did! I am working on my memory cardigan in tribute to my late twin who passed away from ALS. She went out of the US only on one trip....to Iceland! She did amazing photography and loved it so much we had planned to return together....we never got to so I will go on in her memory when I can.

    Melody, It's so interesting to see another person that knits like me. I keep my fingers close tot the yarn and move them a lot to move stitches. I never thought about it until a friend of mine mentioned they hadn't seen someone knit that way before. ^_^; I guess there are more of us than I thought! ♥

    Hi just found your beautiful site. I live in semi tropics in Qld Australia. The cotton really looks good for our heat in Winter… we are just coming into Summer and it was 35deg c yesterday… already too hot 🥵 I am not much of a knitter but I do crochet, would you make any patterns for crochet? I can only dream of such a perfect house and serene place, we have six people in our house and always noisy and busy! 🤪 Thank you for sharing what life can be like… one day maybe ❤️

    Hello Melody, Love your podcasts, they are so soft and beautiful. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. A question please, where do you find your journal books? Your projects make me want to knit all of them.

    Wow, I don't know how you survived without those little ChaoGoo hearts! If you ever lose them, or are in need of changing needles but don't have your hearts with you, here is a little hack: Take a rubber glove, the kind you use at the kitchen sink, and use the 2 ends like you would the 2 hearts. You needn't put the glove on your hand ; just use it like a grippy rag! (A rubber glove is also great for opening stubborn jars, etc. It grips the lid really well.) The Wild Posies sweater is gorgeous! Thanks for another great podcast.

    Another beautiful vlog, Melody, and the new design is stunning! It’s been a very cold spring here in the Netherlands too, I only planted out my first courgettes today. The upside is that cool weather crops like radish, lettuce, spinach and asparagus are doing great :)

    Such a beautiful story about your design process. Can I ask what the name of the item is that you found which prevents the needle from separating from the cable? I have that problem too. Hugs from California!

  • @terrielemaire5884
    @terrielemaire5884 3 роки тому +1

    Beautiful! I love both versions.
    Ignore me if you know this already, but the holes on the end of the cable and the base of the needles are roughly the same size as blocking pins. I put one in each hole and use the pins to give me that last little bit of leverage to tighten the needle connection, and I've never had my needles separate since I started doing this. Hope this helps someone love their needles a bit more!

    Hi Melody. You are such a fan of plotulopi and I wanted to know what you thought of their einband laceweight yarn. I have ordered plotulopi and will use a laceweight for additional strength. I see you use a lot of mohair/silk and wanted to know your experience with einband.

    Love all your videos - no wonder it gets so many views. Just a tip about Chiagoo needles - the red rubber grip wasn’t such a game changer for me- it was finally using T-pins to tighten the join. Used to do it by hand but realized the needles would come undone that way and my stitches would slide off. Always tighten with T-pins (using the grip if you want but I never needed it) ^^ keep up the great work - love your designs so much. ^^
