- Do you skip building backstage areas for your habitats?, Get stuck with hard shelter needs? No More! Today i bring you some modular generic backstage areas for your zoo!
These will work great for most animals, specifically geared towards hoofstock and aquatic animals, however! if you believe we need more for specific animals, let me know in the comments below and we shall see what the planet zoo fairy can provide!

Thank you so much. You make adding backstage areas to habitats not feel nearly as daunting. The explanations are simple and clear, and it shows you don't need to use a massive amount of pieces just to create a working area.
Glad it was helpful!
Primate backstage areas! It's a really tricky one because variety but with their intelligence they need pretty unique backstage areas.
Absolutely! I had an idea both for large primates and smaller. May look at getting something put together
@Tsori_ Best of luck!! I remember you mentioned it's a bit tough cuz hit boxes but I've heard zoos get very creative for feeding them as they want to minimize keeper danger
These are absolutely fantastic. I struggle with shelters/backstage areas so much but taking something like this and altering where it needs it per animal would be so much easier.
Glad its useful, i have a few more in mind if this video does well!
This is so detailed! Definitely going to be downloading these and taking them apart in Planet Zoo just to see all of the little things you included. Great job!
It would be cool to see a habitat with a backstage area for the Komodo Dragons.
you're the GOAT thank you so much 🙏
Happy to help
Very nice.
My Zoo looks much more like the vision I had in my head with backstage areas.
Thanks alot,

Glad it's of some help!
your the hero. Thanks!!!
You are an inspiration and make anything i buils look laughable
If you enjoy building it, it's always worth it!
@Tsori_ I defintley do. I had forgotten your handle will defintley have to tag you in the one I am editing now as I know it was your voice a few months ago i was listening to on sunken habitats and null barrier use
Yes thanks you!!!!
No no, thank you!
This was a game I was always interested in, but I found when you used other people's assets in the workshop, they would (majority of the time) place them on a hill or make a ground indent, and they would never be flat on the ground. Is that still an issue for the game? These are so good.
It depends on the habitat, you'll still need to create an indent for the pool in this for example, but the others should sit fairly flat
Awesome
Thank you!
This is incredible defo using this in my zoo’s now but there is one thing i ask ive been rlly struggling with a bintourong backstage and enclosure could you help please?
Binturong is an interesting one, perhaps a high level entrance like i built for the capuchin in wildlands, then a two level bit, food on the floor sleeping on the platform maybe
@@Tsori_ thank you so much that helps a lot
Can the aquatic one work on otters, seals and sea lions?
Absolutely for the Otters, i would assume yes for seals & Sea Lions, but i would probably edit them to include a water route into and out of the pool. I think the seal/sea lion ect would benefit from a more specialised backstage area.
At 5:26 what is the piece that you connect the cables to at the top of the screen it looks like an electrical box?
@qbernater4815 the heater when rotated looks like an electric box. Just need to make sure you're turning them off so it's not too hot
THANK YOU this is exactly what id wanted..... i ddnt know u had a discord & i tryed ur link but it doesnt go 2 ur discord 😔
Glad it helps, I currently take part in GuntersGaming discord mainly so I believe it would take you there
Will the backstage one you did work for ANY animal?
It should work for most small and medium animals, elephants, giraffes ect might be a bit too big, but if people want specialised ones making up let me know and I'll get one sorted!
@@Tsori_ i would love to see ones for bears . would love to see what you would come up with!
Hoofstock? You mean ungulates?
That I do,!
Not all hoofstock are ungulates and not all ungulates are hoofstock, or even have hooves for that matter.
