BC Ferries Langdale to Horseshoe Bay (Queen of Surrey)

This is a ride on board BC Ferries' Queen of Surrey, on the Sunshine Coast - West Vancouver (Langdale - Horseshoe Bay) route. Filmed in the early-evening on October 15th, 2022. On board we explore the ship and get a chance to view the spectacular scenery of the Islands in Howe Sound and mountains on the mainland, including Mount Garibaldi volcanic peak north of Squamish.
The Queen of Surrey was built in 1981 to replace older 'V' class vessels in the fleet on the two major routes out of Horseshoe Bay, along with her other four sisters (one of which is seen in this video; Queen of Cowichan approaching Langdale. The 'V' class vessels were reallocated to other routes until retirement in the new millennium.

Rode this daily for 7 years. Great trip both wats. Nice to relax with paper and fresh fruit juice.

This particular video was filmed on a Canon SX740HS in 1080p, compared to most of my other videos filmed in 720p on a smaller point-and-shoot.

I think the ship you saw might’ve actually been the Queen of Cowichan, as the Queen of Coquitlam is in refit at the moment and at the time this was filmed. It’s an easy mistake to make, I’ve made it many a time myself 😂
