I would really like to suggest to you. Another great trip to take. Go all the way up Vancouver Island to Port Hardy. And take the B.C. Ferries ship up to Prince Rupert. A 15 hour trip which is during daytime in Summer. I very highly recommend it.

Great video Ray. I took that ferry route about 25 years ago for a stay over in Victoria - then returned to the states via Port Angeles. I remembering it being a much smaller ship back then. I really love that whole area. Thanks for the memories!

Just did the Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo a couple of weeks ago and it was great. Learned the hard way that Tsawwassen ferry also goes to Nanaimo and you can save on 1+ hour driving through Vancouver. Plus, they had a sale over over-sized vehicles but only at Tsawwassen, not Horseshoe Bay. :( Loved Vancouver island and Tofino. Can't wait to go back.
At 16:40 you mentioned a Coffee Shop Lounge, b ut you didn't mention the Sea West Lounge which is a Quiet Room for people to focus on their work, that comes with a small Buffet of Granola Cereal, Cheeses, Breads, Meats, etc. like a Mini Buffet.

Good job Ray! We did a similar ferry in the Outer Banks of Virginia a couple years ago. They really seem to have moving all those vehicles and people down to a science! Safe travels! my friend!
Hey Ray the over length rate is 6.50 with the limited sailings ending the end of October 3.25. I got neither as it was so prohrobtive the extra stay on the Island. We came home on Queen of New Westminster and it is showing its age.

My wife and I were on a Princess Cruise that stopped in Nanaimo, and loved it. Funny thing is; we were once stationed in North Bay, Ontario (CFB North Bay) and we were Tim Horton's fanatics. Given that it had been years since we had been to "Timmy's" after returning to the States due to a military move: she and I found a map of the town as soon as we disembarked and made a mad-dash to the old coffee haven for a sip of the good stuff before actually setting out on our Canadian adventure :-D Hey now...I bet Timmy's would love to hear a love story like this, eh?
Haha, yeah. From what I've read though Tims has been going downhill since they were bought out by the same company that runs Burger King. Some of the franchises are fighting with the parent company - www.cbc.ca/news/business/tim-hortons-franchisees-1.4024021
Hallo Ray, thanks for sharing. Finally got my WVOS541 ASA Electronics Voyager rear observation camera installed. It's so reassuring to see behind the rig any time needed. Got the 5.6" color LCD monitor which doesn't have the distance lines which I think is silly. They said only the 7" monitor has the lines. Silly, all monitors should have the distance line markers built in, with a button to either put em on or off. So, I taped thin lines on my screen and marked off at 1,6 and 15 feet. Also taking out the stupid plastic kitchen sink (at least it's a large single basin). I mean where we supposed to put a hot pot or pan? These RV companies are thoughtless and so cheap. Got a nice 4 hole, 20 gauge stainless steel 25×22 inch coming from Amazon, Ships from Georgia, USA. and includes the drain part and hole caps in case don't use a soap dispenser. Better than Home Depot! Also noticed one side of the TT my front vinyl 1" screw cover trim molding was cracked. Dealer 20$ for 25 feet. Amazon less than 20$ get 100 feet!! Guess you head south in a month? Safe traveling, enjoy. Prost
Cool. Good upgrade with the sink, it's on my list. Haven't been able to find one I like yet that fits, likely will have better luck in the states. Yeah, we head south in early November. Cheers! Ray
Love Your RV Thanks, My current plastic kitchen sink says Kinro 25×19 on the underside sticker. I called them and of course they don't give us the stainless steel version option which is so typical of the RV companies. I haven't yet taken out the plastic sink but I'm pretty certain the counter cut out size is 23×18 inches. When my stainless steel drop in sink from Magnus Sinks I found on Amazon arrives I'll try see if it fits. Otherwise I'll just trim back the counter a little. It may put my new Moen Gooseneck pull out sprayer faucet a bit close to the wall window but it's fine. Benefits of a two inch deeper ( 8 inch deep), slightly larger sink in steel far outweigh that. Another upgrade I'm very disappointed I don't think can happen is my two Ventline 14×14 roof vents. I want to replace the non see through blue ones with 100% clear. I called Ventline and they said they only make the dark smoke and white non see through replacement. To me this is rediculos. We need more options available. It's so dark in many RVs as it is. And I really love being able to see the sky as well as have more light. One can always rig up a curtain or shade if they need to block the light. Clear roof vents certainly don't present privacy issues. I had the same trouble replacing my solid white non see through non opening entry door window. Finally found something I'm real happy with. The window is called the Edwin. Bottom half slides up to open. Has the same 30% tint as all my other windows, so it matches and looks so so so much better than the typical unsightly standard white bathroom shower door marbled type non opening window. Cheers, Prost
Ray really enjoyed your video. Do they have special lanes for reservations? It would be my luck to get in the wrong lane or have vehicle trouble. This looks like a great experience!

Reverse your clocks to yesteryear. Black Ball ran the former US ferries Kahloke and Chinook between HSB and DPB before BC took over their services. BB also served Saltery Bay, Langdale, and Bowen Island before the purchase by BCF. Canadian Pacific ran Princess liners between downtown Vancouver and downtown Nanaimo. Faye’s response was that “you know Americans don’t walk anywhere so there would hardly be any walk ons”.
