- I’m blown way and super impressed by the performance of these motors, and it’s great to see it all come together in this video
Everything seems to be working right and this car is quickly becoming a great Street cruiser
Big thanks to everyone involved!
More to come real soon !
PEACE!
Grate wheels👍 mesh style look so badass on these
My first car back in the mid 90's was a 86 Capri, bought without an engine for $200 bucks. We went the other direction and put a 2.3 turbo engine out of a wrecked 86 SVO, Super fun car for a 16 year old kid. I've had many Mustangs since but that Capri will always have a special place in my heart, have no idea where it went after i sold it.
I love the Capri it's awesome the way it is and it's dependable I have a lot of fun on the street with that car have a great day thanks for inspirational video
Geeeeez, clean up that shop!
Working on it!
Hard work pays off 💪 congrats
🖤
A Capri, you don't see many around anymore, at least I don't and I have to say that I love it. Always been a huge fan of the Capri and what you have done to yours is simply awesome, just subscribed and looking forward to more.
I thought the Capri had the rounded hatch window
83-86!
@@401foxbodylove the car anymore new mods and what does it take to put that in a Capri or sn95
@@dailylife3975 thank you. Ive posted a video testing out the Ford Performance intake for it.
The swap is straightforward with the right parts. The whole build is on my
Channel
And you can see what i used! It may be for sale soon. With or without paint
Been considering this for my 4eye Coupe instead of the 408 I have on hand. This is cool !
Brooooo, this is Fire!!!!
Zack R
Those are some solid first numbers!! Sounded AWESOME doing it too!! Good Job 401👍
Definitely more TQ but same HP as a bolt-on Gen3 coyote plus the coyote is significantly lighter.
Not always peak hp that wins races
@@Ws6Ms if you got the same power but 1 weighs 130lbs less....
I currently have 3 Coyotes and do welcome the much LESS complex 7.3 and plan on swapping one into a New Edge at some point!
540 foot pounds stick car must be a blast!
I just ordered some ET Street Ss. It just lit the tires up before
@@401foxbody I bet lol
Must be scary in the rain 😅
Put the ford performance intake manifold. You'll pick up 20/20 hp/tq. And it has a better throttle body angle
Would love to see it hit the public!
@401foxbody that's what these cars do haha.
Seriously lol'ed at your reaction to last pull reading
Thats a high 9s car as it sits now with some slicks
Engine =combustion MOTOR =Eletric
Capri very weird!! LOL love it!
Good dudes both Mike and Brian at Dez Racing! Been on that dyno a couple times. Love the Capri!
Had 2 of them! The Chevy guys couldn't figure what year Mustang the were!
Great job!!!!
Love it guys! So impressive! Was this on pump gas or e85? Sorry if you mentioned I don’t remember hearing it
93 octane. Street stuff!
@@401foxbody hell yeah! E85 would bump it even more! I'm hoping the minizilla (new 6.8) perform as well as it's big brother!
@@jmitchell513neither the 6.8 or 7.3 are recommended to run E85 per the owner's manual.
Badass brother!
I've not looked into what the cost is to buy a Godzilla, new or one from the wrecking yard but I have to say you'd be a bit ahead of the game going with a well built 351W base engine; either OEM block or Aftermarket.
Interesting comment. Id factor in the amount of machine work needed, and all supporting components , heads , camshaft design, air and fuel delivery, to make 500na with a 351w
And then the swap components. Oil pan. Headers. Intake if injected. Godzillas can be found at salvage yards for 5k. To me, i felt this move would put the build ahead. And im a diehard 351 fan. I appreciate the insight tho. Its food for thought for anyone starting a build
@@401foxbody Certainly the Godzilla is the better platform. 351w can handle 700-800 hp with boost, some say no, others say even more is doable. What is the weight of the Godzilla?
Heck I'm sticking a 306 8.2 deck into a Mazda RX8 currently... no such "all the shelf parts" for the engine swap, unlike for the LS platform.
@@chestrockwell8328 godzilla is 50lbs heavier than a 351
@@401foxbody Long block to iron headed 351 long block? 40 or so pounds lighter with Aluminum heads but some trade with the intake manifolds, maybe 20-25# net lower for the old windsor?
Po boys gotta stick with a proven performer! My buddy was running 6:60s with a well prepped 357 in the 1/8 mile 15 years ago! Multiply that by 1.57 to get the 1/4 mile time!
You have the 1st gen intake manifold. The 2nd gen intake manifold is much bigger in terms of performance. Not 100% sure if it would be a power improvement swapping to the 2nd gen manifold. The runners are straighter. The throttle body opening is 1/4" bigger and it bolts on just like the 1st gen
Hmm. I didnt see a difference. Do you have a part number for the “2nd gen” intake?
@401 FOXBODY yea ill get it ford part # for you tonight. I work at the factory that makes the godzilla intake. Ill snap a side comparison of the 2 intake as well
@@garyprice9895 awesome!
Gen2 Godzilla Ford part # PC3E-9424-AC
I'll give you some great advice man get up with Brian Wolfe he's got a Godzilla this mustang race car it's in the selmon's already in the quarter
Brian is a good friend. We worked closely with him on a few builds. He is a great guy and a hell of resource
It made over 400 ft.lbs 2500rpm to redline!! Dang
Sheesh take her for a spin
Very nice
Great video Ford power forever baby keep on pulling the knot out of them bow ties and the horns off them Mopars
Hell yeah nice
The Capri is my fav
"Beast Mode"
I thought these motors made power. For sure needs a blower or something.
I have an 80’ Cobra I plan to Godzilla swap
Good luck to ANYONE thinking they can build a 351W that can make the same power for the same money, 😂😂😂😂
Outfuckingstanding 🇺🇲
👍👍🍺
No such thing as a fast ford buddy
Yea yea
