Yes, Melusine is very much leaning into her mecha roots. She's made by Choco, who did KOS-MOS, has mentioned how mechanical design has influenced Melusine, and her dragon form was always referred to as more of a jet fighter than an animal. Plus, her voice lines had her as a fan of Moriarty's and Lancelot Berserker's NPs. This is not unexpected by some, but others will get blindsided. The first was sort of punk/delinquent, which won't appeal to everyone (I'd like a mask-off costume, myself). And the 2nd was very sweet, very laid-back - sort of fulfilling the final ascension art white outfit of her Lancer form. Barghest has a firefighter theme. Maybe also animal protection/park ranger for first? And also maid. Her NP actually ends Burn debuffs on enemies as a demerit. And her skills give her extra buffs if there's a Servant of rarity of 3 or lower. And 3rd skill lets you choose AoE or ST.
Yea, I really love Melusine's 2nd Ascension. Barghest's removing burn debuff was quite funny when I realized why. Also her skill buff when you have lower rarity servants is quite unique.
I am SO DAMN HAPPY with EVERYTHING about Mélusine, they finally gave us a playable white dragon outfit, they went wild with the mecha stuff and completely upped everything I already liked about her. There's also a lot of stuff around her that I like, like the little I know of her role in this event story or the fact that she has an ahegao face on one of her expressions now. A few other details about her: • The fish shaped container on her leg in her first ascension is a drinking flask, it's the one she uses for one of her skill animations. • The ringlet around her thigh in her 1st asc(which produces a noticeable squish hnnnng) is a perfect replica of Aurora's tiara. • There will sometimes be an octopus attached to one of her rockets during her np. • One of her bond lines as a Lancer is her admiring the Storm Border and saying that it is a worthy enough vessel to serve as a mother ship to land on, she also says that Nemo is a very comfortable person to hang out with. In her summer form her desire is realized because now her NP is her being ejected from the Storm Border to serve as an accompaniment fighter jet (with a Nemo Marine serving as her liftoff instructor). • Her artist CHOCO is selling replica masks that match hers. • The third asc is heavily based off a design CHOCO drew for one of his "CHALDEA EMISSION" books about Mélusine. • Her thrusters in her 3rd asc have school swimsuits on them. I am going to go BROKE when she drops in NA.

I already got NP3 for each... My quartz are all gone but to be honest I can't complain. Melusine is SUPER good! Her NP gen is bad but that's mainly due to having an INSANELY high refund for being an AOE arts NP. Barghest being a technical NP toggle between single and AOE targeting is really good but I haven't messed around too much though I assume given her partnering with 3 🌟 or below servants there could be some budget comps that could work which is a fun gimmick. UDK means Union Defence Knights. As for Sith... She's definitely not bad one bit. I have the least to say about her but she seems solid given the Magic Resistance EX she kept making her have high debuff resist so she might be super good for CQ and the like.
The reason they kept showing Baobhan’s buffs is because her first skills makes that Healing per turn, NP charge per turn, and Star gen per turn types of buffs last for 3 more turns
I like all the fun they clearly had with Melusine. All three forms have their charm. Though I really like how they basically took her original final ascension art and let it be her second ascension here. Some cute skill animations too. Plus that NP is a blast. Has Nemo on her side and is all set to be launched into the fight! Nothing like going all out for summer.
Melusine np may be nicer than her og but it is not nice to my phone. Her np is super laggy even worse than Yang Guifei’s blue sun😂. Also funny that their names revert back to their Tam Lin names when they reach their 3rd ascend.
