This is my favourite style of art. This is how I draw/paint too, but I have a long way to go to be as good as you. Thanks for sharing your art with us!
I just found your channel tonight. I don't sketch people because it's hard for my brain to see the correct shapes and points to get an actual likeness. Thank you so much for your easy to follow tutorials. I'm absolutely giddy and staying up way too late tonight, sketching portraits. :D
I sketched this with you. I am happy with the outcome. I like your methods using dots to lay out the sketch. Can't really go wrong if the dots are in the right place. Thank you!
I actually found myself holding my breath when you did her eyes. I love you style. I was taught to build from the eyes out. This is nice I can do it this way. Yet. Is it just practicing proportions? And do you use same method when drawifrom life? Thanks for your videos. ❤
I'm really impressed by your ability to nail the proportions. Is that something you were able to pull off quickly or do you have to spend a long time practicing? I feel like I'm still struggling so, so much with proportions and just seeing to a point where I'm starting to wonder if seeing in art is something you either have it or you don't. Or if it's something that comes with time for everyone, depending on how much they practice (granted, I should be practicing a lot more than I do).
☺️ thanks. It definitely comes from practicing hand / eye coordination. With practice I believe anyone can learn how to sketch from observation🙌🏼. Although learning basic proportions helps, in this sketch I didn’t focus heavily on them, it was more just comparing shapes. Filling a large sheet of paper with many different sketches from different references can help👍🏼

That was great, Scottie! Love to see how you build up from the basic shapes to the finished line work.

that's great to hear 🙌🏼
thank you for this simplistic approach. I have something new to practice on.
Glad it was helpful!
So lovely. I love it. ❤😊
Love this 😍
I love the outcome! But I have one question,do you wait for one area to dry when you use watercolor? Or do you just keep painting while it’s wet

what about water color pencils??
wonderful sketch. I enjoyed your size and placement method,. Fast sure strokes show your expertise, but look practically impossible to me
thanks Ginny🤗 I hope you can give it a go!
Great More
It`s not exact drawing, only mood, character. I understand correctly?
yes 👍🏼
Any chance you can drop another without the cat uhg not all artists are cat lover vets 😂
haha you could change the cat to a bouquet of flowers😂
