M/S of a boy lying on the floor, another man is crouching down near him, going through a bag of tools. He hands the boy a pair of pliers and the camera pans across to show him making adjustments to a pram, it has a number '5' on the side. L/S of various students outside Hatfield College of Technology as they work on their prams. M/S of another man beckoning them to come over, M/S as the boys wheel the prams up ready for the race. M/S of four boys with their prams at the starting line, C/U as a man waves his handkerchief to start the race. C/U as the boys start racing towards the camera, L/S as they race away. Various shots of the race in progress round the college grounds. The narrator explains Hatfield are winners of the Inter-University Pram Relay race. Each competitor runs for 20 seconds and then hands over to the next man, there are 20 people on the team. C/U of pram number 7 and the boy pushing it. L/S as they race up and turn a corner. M/S of other students cheering them on. L/S as they hand the prams over to the next set of runners.
M/S of a runner pushing a pram along the road, there is a green bus driving beside it, C/U of the runner in a red tracksuit pushing the pram. M/S from inside the bus as another runner takes over, the people in the bus pull the first runner onto the bus as it is still moving. C/U of the front of the bus which says 'Reg's Tours'. M/S of the bus driving along and a boy pushing the pram beside it.

Good to see the place as it was back then. Can you imagine the uproar if anyone dared to jump on or off a moving bus on a public road these days?
