    Thanks for posting! I used this vid (and that of David Waltermyer) to replace the battery on my Moto 360 1st gen! Success! Thanks again!

      I don't know how to help you, unfortunately. That never happened to me. I suggest you post this problem on reddit, on the Moto360 forum. Here: www.reddit.com/r/moto360/
      Good luck!

    Save yourself a LOT of wasted effort - do NOT remove the glass back!! There's absolutely no need to. You just need a 0.005 feeler gauge between the case to slide out those 4 curved pins. SUPER easy, and you don't have to touch the glass at all. I just changed my battery out today using that method. There is a whole lot of extra work if you follow this video. I wouldn't recommend prying the watch apart without removing the 4 curved retaining pins first. You'd just be making things harder on yourself.

      @@Kusv583 Search it on UA-cam - the video is already there ... that's why I followed when I did mine. :)

    is the 1st generation battery same as second generation as i cant find a 2nd generation battery. also do they both come apart the same way. thanks

      @ADVBear  7 років тому

      I don't think the battery is the same, no. Regarding the teardown, the information that I have is that the 2nd gen is far more difficult to open, having 50% more glue. I did a little research and couldn't find any other info. Sorry.

    I assume this process compromises the IP67 rating?

    • @ADVBear
      @ADVBear  7 років тому

      Oh, definitely. But my experience shows that it is still at least splash resistant, so, I think it was worth it.

    hi there, please guide us to a moto 360 2nd gen tear down please ......

    • @ADVBear
      @ADVBear  6 років тому

      Hey man, how's it going? As far as I can tell, it's the exact same process. Do a search for the iFixIt tear down of the Moto 360 1st gen to have a more "official" path to open your watch. I hope this helps.

      Alexandre Freire : Not good bud, my moto 360 2 is fucked up due to battery .... Ifixit are scammers the actual process for 360 gen 2 is quite sweat breaking ..... Some expert like you would be the only saviour !

      eBay. Easy to find.

    I don't understand why you people take the back cover off? All you do is grab the frame of the watch and pull on the watch ban gently and wiggle till it slowly comes out.

    • @ADVBear
      @ADVBear  7 років тому

      "You people"?

    • @jamesm568
      @jamesm568 7 років тому

      Alexandre Freire I am absolutely dumbfounded why you pulled the back cover off? Watch repair shops don't do that as they disassemble the whole thing as one piece.

    • @ADVBear
      @ADVBear  7 років тому +3

      Well, I didn't know that at all. Every video that I could find on the web - including at the iFixit website - showed the same steps. Now, you don't need to be dumbfounded by people that do things by themselves without having much experience; you should be by people that don't even try it. Anyway, let me just give you a little tip, as you are still a young fella: it's not very nice to come out so strongly at people like that, especially at people you don't even know and without the proper introductions. Next time, try to be nicer and approach the subject as if you were giving a tip, or helping others to improve. How about that? Take care.

    Fantastic nonsense - take off the glass!
    Chassis understand the 3 parts of elementary - it is necessary to pull out 4 of the clamp in the area of the watch strap.
    Фантастическая глупость - снимать стекло!
    Чассы разбираются на 3 части элементарно - надо выташить 4 фиксатора в районе крепления ремешка часов.
