I'll have to look that one up. I've really enjoyed those mora knives these past few months. Can't believe how well such an affordable knife like these perform.
They are really good. I have a video where I shave off my full beard with a much used Mora. I now am looking for a Companion HD for that extra blade thickness and strength.
@@shashisingh6227 Already got the HD, and like it. It is now my main backup blade. The robust is nice, but I prefer the longer blade. I certainly did consider the robust though, and I think it is cheaper.
The Sportsman's Warehouse near me has the Pro S for $14, the Companion S for $19, and the Bushcraft Black for $49. I haven't tried the Bushcraft, but I own the Pro S and the Companion. Like them both. Can't beat em for the money!
I 100% agree that these two are among the best value in fixed blade knives on the market. I actually enjoyed the little bit of carving I did better with these cheaper models. They are routinely recommended as a great option for a budget friendly knife for good reason.
Hello! I am currently looking for a fixed blade knife and I choose the S and the companyon but I can't decide which one should I get. I wanted to go with the S but now I am in trouble! What do you suggest? Is the companyon worth the plus money ?
I really like the companion. I think for the money, it's a hard knife to beat. Most of what I'm seeing online now is in that $20 or so price point. That's a lot of knife for only $20 in my opinion.
I have been totally impressed with these Morakniv knives as you can tell from the video. What has been your experience? Are they as good as I think they are going to be?
I would say the main advantages are thicker blade, so it's a bit stronger for bush crafty type tasks. Spine is already at 90 degrees so it will throw a spark. And the blade is coated so it's resistant to rust. My 546 rusted after using it in the garden. I think there are ways to put a patina on it so it won't rust. So yeah, it's an improvement.
Any of the 3 knives are examples of perfection for bait cutting type knives! You can’t loose with any !!!
I agree. They would be fabulous in that role and the plastic sheath would be easily washable after and stand up well to messy blades.
Companion in stainless still the most versatile of all Moras. Pros: everything. Cons: no lanyard hole.
I would have to agree with you versitility assessment. I use it routinely in the garden now, as well as out in the woods when I get to go.
I easily drilled a hole in mine for a para cord lanyard.
I have the companion, very good overall performer. I want to get the flex next for more precision cutting

There is a serious difference in the blade thickness. Much stronger feel.
Try Robust

I love the Companion!
I have to agree. Most useful affordable knife I've ever purchased.

If you own the 511 and 546, would the Pro be an advantage or improvement?

@@microhomesteadecology I thought the 546 was Stainless ? And 511 was Carbon. Also the Pro S looks like it has a Wider blade than the 511 and 546
Do you think green fits better or blue?
I honestly really like them both. Hard to beat either one.
Bushcraft or Garberg which one do you prefer?
Hard to choose. Everything I've used so far is pretty high quality.
