Rory standing on business. I could make an argument that The Sopranos is the greatest comedy ever made too. It doesn’t get the credit it deserves for that, it’s so funny.
i just started binging the sopranos a few weeks ago, already on the last season. Everything Rory said about it is 100 percent facts. That might be the greatest show ever made.
I know most probably havent seen it but the T.V. exec that ruined Bojack Horseman's life was a terrible person. In the 90s, the producer of Bojack's show (The show was like Full House, family sitcom) was outted for being gay and people were picketing for him to be fired. The T.V. Exec's job was on the line and Bojack (as the star of the show) was going to stand by his gay best friend not being fired but the T.V. Exec convinced him he would never get more work in Hollywood or his dream movie role if he walked out with his soon to be fired friend. The ramifications of the exec manipulating Bojack ruined his life and career and shamed and fired the producer for being gay.
At the end of the day, Bojack prioritized his stardom and career over his day one friend. If he stood up to her and said “this is not only my friend, this man is important to my show and he’s staying ” she likely would have backed down. Bojack was just selfish
Finish it !!! That show will break your heart. Especially season 6. Then watch "Kingdom" w/Frank Grillo (Best show most have never seen) , "Mayor of Kingstown" w/Jeremy Renner, "Top Boy" (Outstanding Black British show), "Gangs of London" (Outstanding British show), Animal Kingdom w/Shawn Hatosy, and "Vikings". @MakeshiftEli I love the sopranos but nah bruh. They left a million plotholes and they made a movie to try to clear it all up and failed miserably. The wire ties all the characters into eachother in a real life way. McNulty would have had the whole new jersey family wrapped in a month.

The preeminent television series of our era undoubtedly resides in "Game of Thrones," a masterfully crafted epic that transcends conventional storytelling. Its narrative complexity, rich character development, and intricate plot interweavings set it apart as a pinnacle of television artistry. Additionally, one cannot overlook the brilliance of "Breaking Bad" with its meticulous character transformation and moral exploration, or "The Wire," an exemplar of societal commentary and nuanced storytelling, albeit with the noted exception of its second season. The timeless allure of the Original Twilight Zone further solidifies this list, affirming its status as a pioneering work that continues to captivate audiences with its thought-provoking narratives and timeless relevance.
good writing isn't the question or in question. The originality of what a real life mob life would be, or like the wire, what real life street life is. those shows depict life the twilight and G.o.t. were great writing but also not relative to real relatable things
@@moderator7169 WHAT?!?! Indeed, I must express my earnest surprise at the suggestion that the original Twilight Zone lacks relevance or relatability. The prescient insights embedded within the narratives of the Twilight Zone remain remarkably pertinent, serving as a poignant mirror reflecting the enduring intricacies of human behavior and societal interactions.
Every character in Breaking Bad (besides Mike) is insufferable. Yet we still love that show, that’s why I credit BB so high. Likeable characters can be kind of a crutch for a show.

I never hated Skyler when I watched Breaking Bad. I think people made Walter White the hero in their eyes but he actually became an egomaniacal asshole and Skyler was not wrong for being enraged and disillusioned by him. It’s like when people make Scarface the hero when really he was always and has always been absolutely the villain. I mean he’s an absolute psychopath. There’s multiple lol moments in pretty much every episode, so it would not be “nonsense”, by definition.
