A while ago I picked up some Julidichromis Transcriptus Gombe and have really loved watching and caring for them.
These cichlids are a really cool, compact julidichromis, which is an African cichlid from Lake Tanganyika.

I had a lone Julie, and I hardly ever saw him. I added about 8 more eventually, and they all swim around near the bottom, and when I walk by the tank, they all come out and stare me down 😆

I recently got 10 of them, hardly ever see them, swim around the bottom & stare me down too

Out of all my cichlids these are the most fun to watch. They just patrol and hover around the rocks and just observe things. Really cool👍

I took terracotta plates work for me
I've kept these for a few years now, they breed a lot, very peaceful, but I keep mine on their own.

Would a colony of these get along with 2 or 3 Altolamprologus Calvus in a 37 gallon bow front?
Im not too experienced with calvus but these guys are super placid. Id say 100% theyd be fine with most tanganyikan tankmates, its just whether the calvus will bully them

No, they need completelu different water parameters
could these fish be possible tankmates for a red tail shark? i currently have a red tail shark and 3 albino corydoras in a 30 gallon tank (red tail shark isn’t full size yet) i am buying a 75 gallon tank in 2 weeks

I wouldnt recommend it, they are a social fish. I always recommend groups
