To this day, I'm still convinced that when the series started the writers originally had it planned for Will to be an amazing dancer and Carlton to be a bad dancer. But at a certain point they looked at each other and said, "Yeah, Will can't dance! Let's switch it around!" And then they had Carlton be the amazing dancer.

This feels more like a Carlton and Will compilation but I'm not complaining.
Carlton was another case of flanderization. In the earlier seasons, he was a preppy dork but he also had finer moments (like becoming C-Note, and standing up to the college fraternity) then as the show went on he became a total goof.
