I love how you’ve made use of every square foot. You’ve truly made your home work for your family. A few years back I did a cross country move and moved into a smaller space Taking that opportunity to look at everything I owned, get rid of anything that wasn’t serving me / pair it down, felt refreshing and freeing. It’s been a few years since that move so I’ve accumulated some more things...but seeing your space is very inspiring. Also reminding myself, sometimes it’s okay to hang onto little things that make me happy. Appreciate you letting us into your home. Love the videos Ashley !! 💛
Awe you’re too sweet! Sometimes I wish I could uproot my life and live somewhere else but we have so many ties here. Its really amazing you were able to do that and cut down your belongings. Thank you for your sweet comment. It’s people like you who make me excited to put out more video 😊
When you got to your bedroom and were talking about your bedding I love how you said marriage is about compromise. Yes! I can totally relate with my husband as we are renovating our home and he likes the dark and moody vibe and I like the white and airy vibe - his car is black mine is white lol, so we painted the home white walls with black trim and accent walls 😅 this is how you do marriage. Loved this home tour I recently found your channel and was looking for a home tour but didn't find one so I'm glad you released this video today!
We live in England so this is really a normal amount of space for us, if not quite big! We don't have closets really here or laundry rooms unless you have a huge house. Our house is literally- straight into the living room , then into the kitchen which is also where the table is to eat, the kitchen also the washing machine in it and we have to dry clothes in there. There's a small pantry full of crap and the fridge off the kitchen too. In between the living room and the kitchen are the stairs up to the bedrooms - master bedroom and a small bedroom for our son, we have one bathroom which is ridiculously small, like I have never been in a smaller one. Then there are more stairs up to our daughters room which is in the attic. Houses here are so expensive and so small!
Same here! Like she isn’t near him at all, he could fall off at any moment, I don’t know why she doesn’t just put him down for a nap or simply carry him!
The mirror and the wolf blanket, I couldn't cope! 😂 I live small home tours. My house is 823sqft in the UK. We are a family of 3 and it's so hard to be contented. Im more and more convinced I need to declutter to be able to enjoy the home we have.
Wow the baby really scared me. He's there by himself 😳 I didn't even notice he was there until he moved and made sounds. I hope he doesn't fall. He's so cute
Right?! Came to the comments to see if anyone else was concerned... lol. I thought that maybe he was old enough to get on and off of the couch, but he isn’t even crawling yet. Definitely sketchy, especially on such a narrow couch. I have an 9 month old and haven’t been able to trust that he wouldn’t roll off ever.
First video I ever watched from you. I clicked on it because I live in 800 square feet with a family of 4. I also named my son Rook! What a funny coincidence! Beautiful home tour. Great taste in home decor and baby names lol.
This video really give me the inspiration that I needed! I’m 36 weeks pregnant and I wanted to give our house a more “homie” vibe. So tomorrow I’m going fishing on GoodWill with my husband 💕
"crutches for when we break our legs" Does that happen often? 🤣 It reminds me of the chocolate bar episode of SpongeBob: Injured Fish : I was born with glass bones and paper skin. Every morning I break my legs, and every afternoon I break my arms, at night I lie awake in agony until my heart attacks put me to sleep.
Started having your videos recommended to me because I’m pregnant with surprise baby #3 who will be 4.5 years younger than #2 and I feel like I have to relearn all things baby! Just wanted to share that to keep shoes out of the way I just store them in the kitchen cabinets closest to the door. My husband keeps his in the garage (which I realize you don’t have) but you have two less kids in shoes so maybe that all comes out in the wash. Anyway, really enjoyed your house tour, your home is lovely and I LOVE your kitchen!
Thank you, but that cupboard is full haha. My husband loves baking so he has every type of flour in there 😄. We keep our beekeeping equipment in there too.
first of all that baby scared the crap out of me. i was so busy looking at how nice the couch is i did not see him at first. second am i the only afraid the baby was going to roll off that couch!
This is the perfect size for a house! My hubby and I live in a 624 square feet apt in DT Toronto and we're expecting in March so it's nice to see what others have done with their small spaces.
The wolf blanket made me laugh out loud. I love the patch quilt. I also have one my grandmother made. How would he feel about you having all the white linen and then folding the patch quilt the long way a draping it at the end of the bed?
Made me nervous with baby on sofa, should block the end with something lie a chair. I come from a family of 8, husband a family of 12 and we had five kids so I do not mean to judge or hurt your feelings but kids go from corner to corner when little in crib. Back in the day we had cribs that had like an s hook to hold mattress. Well we did not hook the crib mattress right but thought we had. When our oldest got to be about 3 mths old it dunked him on the floor. Lucky for us he was just starting to sllep in his own room so I did not sleep good and heard it. So just be careful things can happen. You know your baby though. He is adorable. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. I love it. Enjoy that little guy for they are gone on thier own in a wink. God Bless you.
You could easily hang the bathroom mirror straight by aligning the two shorter sides vertically (even with the vertical wall)and of course, the longer of the four sides would be horizontal. Not a difficult fix at all. There is definitely enough space to make the change. I can tell by looking at it.
New sub! I love how you started with your junk drawer; I immediately thought ‘oh yes, this is my type of of person’ 😂 your overstimulated motherhood video spoke to my experience to a T! So helpful. Xo
I don’t mean to be a Karen, but I just really thought throughout the whole video how the baby can be left in the couch and he won’t fall over? I’m just super paranoid about that stuff. Lovely home. Thanks for sharing.
Haha! The bedding situation is pretty funny I must say. And Grant the "not plant"!!! BAHAHAHA! Love your cute house and all of the foliage! You just gave me a great idea for some old planters I have in my back yard. Loved the video!!
I love the artwork! Especially if it is personal. I have a lot up in my house. I have a large painting in the kitchen. Your blue painting would look great in the kitchen under the cabinets at the end of the table.
Any tips on how to get your home to not smell like food when you are cooking in such a small space? We also live in a small 750sqft home and the smell of our food fills the house when I cook lol Would love to get and tips about this. :D
It’s amazing to see how the perception of “small” changes throughout the world! Our less than 400ft sq flat feels just right for our family of 3, but am sure for some it would seem like a mansion while others couldn’t imagine how we fit everything in. You have a beautiful home and am especially jealous of the garden, dream of having an outdoor space one day :)
it's so interesting to see how housing is in different parts of the world :) here in Ukraine 750square feet is by no means big, but it is decent. Our flat is smaller than that and it is plenty for us (expecting momma here), though furniture is not the best (I'd prefer to have more practical options). but we'll be able to make it work for at least the first 6 months I think. :) and if the furniture was more practical, it wouldn't even be a question if we should move or not. We'd like to move but: 1. pandemic 2. prices are way too high compared to what we pay here.
I love what you’ve done with your home. I can’t wait to find a new home with double closets as well. Your diagonal mirror is pretty cool but couldn’t you change it out if you want to? You mentioned that you painted the walls so maybe change the mirror as well?
Beautiful home! I wish my husband and I had separate closets but my house is so small I don’t even have a storage closet! 😔 for now i use an old Ikea wardrobe as storage 🤷♀️
@@AshleyEmbers I'm expecting a baby too :) 30 weeks , ı I hope he will be a sweet baby like Rook. I can not speek english well , I could not understand which country you live in ? 🙈

Your home is very lovely, but please don't leave your son unattended on the sofa. Children his age tend to start to roll over and if you're not there to catch him he will hit the coffee table.
For European standards your home is quite big for a family of 3 :) I love it, especially because u keep it so minimal.
“Crutches for whenever we break our legs” haha you’re hilarious 😂😂😂
Lovely house! And as someone living in Europe, I definitely wouldn't say it's a small house!
Yeah I hear homes on Europe are tiny!
