Hello, I just would like to clarify that this verse doesn't mean what you think it means. [وَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ (and that a man does not deserve but [ the reward of ] his own effort,....53:39) The summary of this verse is that just as no person shall carry the burden of sin of any other, so shall he benefit only from the good that he himself has done. It is not the case that a person performs a righteous act instead of someone else, and the latter is absolved of his responsibility.

Subhan Allah, when I got to know about Sahabas that they also used to work, this made me realise Islam is about balancing things in real life- deen+duniya, Alhamdulillah. There is no doubt that everything is in control of Allah but the fact that is explained very well by Nouman big brother that we should also make plan, put efforts and pray and make dua to Allah to give us the best of those abilities rather than just sitting idle and do nothing, it is wide eye opener

So i just found out, this morning, that i live in the state with the 3rd highest PFA tap water contamination in the US. PFAs cause cancer, etc. I'm not panicked because La haula wa la quwwata ilah billah-- in all situations. And, Allah (swt) in his infinite Mercy has protected me my whole life and at 69 y.o. i trust Him implicitly. Allahu Akbar! However, i must use the brain He's (swt) given me and do the best to protect my health in the face of this imminent danger. My plan of action: Get prayed up, buy a water filter, eat foods that fight cancer, and get prayed up! Please make du'a for me and all the believers in NC. Also, if you live near an air force base, research PFA water contamination in your area.

Ustaad Noman you're one of the best inspirations out there. But I believe your statement regarding self help is a little miss informed. Self Help techniques rely on the concept of Enregy, frequency and Vibrations that we're at the base lines. As a Muslim, this for me is also an Asbab, just like making effort in the physical world. It doesn't teach you to be independent of your creator Astagfirullah. It's about tapping into the sub conscious mind and actually improving the chances of an event, like working extra hard. I believe this is the reason why Muslims are encouraged to pray Tahajjud and make dua in tahajjud. When mind doesn't wander off. It is Allah who has granted us this wonderful creation of mind and consciousness, beyond what other creatures are capable of. It is Allah who answers the prayer. The concept of taqdeer e mubram vs muallaq beautifully makes this distinction. Now no form of self help can teach you to escape death, but for sure can help you get out of depression and anxiety which one brings upon themselves.

Just wanted to say thumbnail can be a bit misleading, self-help isn't all about YOU CAN DO ANYTHING, YOURSELF but it can also be about, literally, helping yourself. If you don't help yourself and don't try to change into a better person then you are probably not a good muslim. Ustaad Noman you're one of the best inspirations out there. But I believe your statement regarding self help is a little miss informed. Self Help techniques rely on the concept of Enregy, frequency and Vibrations that we're at the base lines. As a Muslim, this for me is also an Asbab, just like making effort in the physical world. It doesn't teach you to be independent of your creator Astagfirullah. It's about tapping into the sub conscious mind and actually improving the chances of an event, like working extra hard. I believe this is the reason why Muslims are encouraged to pray Tahajjud and make dua in tahajjud. When mind doesn't wander off. It is Allah who has granted us this wonderful creation of mind and consciousness, beyond what other creatures are capable of. It is Allah who answers the prayer. The concept of taqdeer e mubram vs muallaq beautifully makes this distinction. Now no form of self help can teach you to escape death, but for sure can help you get out of depression and anxiety which one brings upon themselves.
i struggle doing basic everyday task and i struggle with self confidence alot .but i would never blame it on Allah swt since ik its my own fault its because i am pathetic.
Rise. Make Salaht and Quran your biggest priorities. Keep those as your foundation and rise. Thank Allah for the good and ease that you have often.

Just wanted to say thumbnail can be a bit misleading, self-help isn't all about YOU CAN DO ANYTHING, YOURSELF but it can also be about, literally, helping yourself. If you don't help yourself and don't try to change into a better person then you are probably not a good muslim.
Though I will say this video cleared up a bit of confusion that I had regarding it being Allah's plans and our efforts and etc. Now I know that we could have the same plan as Allah does for us, and we can only achieve that if we try to fulfill that plan, but still at that point Allah could have different plans for us and we just don't know it. والله اعلم

Self help books give you the tools to build your confidence and get out of your own way. It promotes self awareness. Most self help books encourage the reader to be kind to those around them and be kind to themselves in the way they ' talk about themselves e.g don’t say I AM dumb because I did this, instead admit You made a dumb decision, but that is not YOU.
