- Coming soon! SpectraNoise is a new firmware update for the Spectraphon! It adds two new oscillator modes: Chaos, and Noise!
This video features sounds made by the Spectraphon in these modes.
We are hard at work finalizing the SpectraNoise firmware, and we’re excited to share it with you! It will be available within the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned for more information!

Love the waves interspersed with the trippy visuals - particularly the swirls early on in the video. Reminds me of Lorenz Attractor patterns. Ocean waves and waterfalls have always fascinated me sonically; they contain almost all frequencies across the range of human hearing (20Hz up to 20kHz, or about 10 octaves).
Love these sounds. Interesting in the best possible way. Hope I can get one soon.
I am so happy with this. Can't wait to give it a try. Silly question, will SAM now also 'detect' atonal noise?
Wow, this update is huge. Percussion mode. Dual sines mode... It sounds like a completely new module. Christmas is early this year.
SAM mode is unchanged... you are gonna like the new modes though, I can feel it!
@@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC I am SO impressed by the new sounds! And in love :)
Looking forward to your video on this new update already
I’m very excited to load up this firmware!! Thank you 🙏🏽
I love my Spectraphon, really excited for these two new features!
Let's call it for what it is, a lynchian mode. This makes me wonder if I should clear some space next to my noiseplethora.
Spectrandise… can’t wait to get Spectrandised! :P
Absolutely phenomenal sounds!💥🎶🎛🔥🤖🤙🏽👁❗️
Thanks!! Glad you tuned in 🎶⚡️
Ooooooo!!!! This is a beautiful update to an already wonderful module. Can’t wait to dive in and get weird with this one!!!
Awesome showcase! This video really shows the range of the instrument! Bravo!
Thanks! We are excited about it 🎶
Never heard sounds like this. Hats off to make noise.
Wow, what an amazing update to an already amazing module. So looking forward to this. I think Dual Sines will take me to the Galaxy I've been searching for lol
Very nice! Can’t wait for this.
My thoughts exactly!
THIS sounds amazing.
Just in time for the winter solstice! Praise krampus!
Mind: blown!
Mission accomplished!
Those "waves" in the intro are amazing, - do I just need Spectraphone to recreate it - or do I need additional modules?
Glad you enjoyed! Around 2 minutes in you can see the full patch. MATHS, Optomix, X-PAN, and Mimeophon are also involved but the Spectraphon is the sole sound source.
@@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC - thanks for reply. Will investigate
How will you select these new modes? Will they be done by clicking the buttons that change between SAM and SAO modes? How do these modes interact with stored arrays?
This open interesting new possibility.😀
How will the 1V/O input affect them? Given the names "Noise" and "Chaos" I'm wondering if it will do pitchable noise. It's not a sound I tend to like using, I only really enjoy it in transients, or way down in the mix to add really subtle undertones, but if it can be sequenced and played like a regular wave, then I could get into it.
Edit.
Aha. Typical. No sooner do I finish asking the question, the next section of the video shows Wogglebug - Maths - 1V/O. I don't own Wogglebug, so am I understanding this correctly? WB outputs stepped random into Maths 3, which controls the 1V/O, which changes the tone of the percussion, and adds the snappy transients? Seems straightforward. If so, then I'm gonna enjoy taking samples of that into Bitbox.
Oh, and now it gets into the "Chaos Sequence" section. Bingo. This is exactly what I was hoping for. Can't wait!
this is super cool!!! even though i don’t have a spectraphon haha (i’d like to get one eventually!!)
Thanks for watching!
Very cool! Are these new modes going to be available while retaining the original modes, or is it going to be a one firmware at a time thing?
All modes (original and new) are always accessible on either Side at any time. In other words it's an extension/expansion of the original firmware, not an "alternate" firmware.
Fuuuuuuck Yeahhhhh!!!!!!!! :)
@@MAKEN0ISEMUSICamazing update. One of my all time favourite modules, just got EVEN better. Thank you!
BR00TAL. I love it.
