Are you able to replace a sub-assembly in a top level assy with the motion envelope? I know you can replace sub-assemblies with an envelope but I can't figure out how to get the motion envelope.
not related to the motion envelopes, but to mechanisms in general, how would you properly make Bender to move one arm 360 deg with a certain velocity/acceleration profile and when that motion is finished, a second arm would move 360 deg (one motion after another)? Thanks!
In analysis menu, you have the option to change start and stop time of motors 1 and 2. Use thay.. run the first motor arm from start to 10 seconds and for next motor arm give 10 at start and then End.
Hey Dave, have you ever heard or scene any issues with CREO 8 and, Mechanism 3D Contact surfaces? I am trying to animate a chain and sprocket. I created contacts between the sprocket surface and the roller surface. The sprocket and chain are sync for a second then, the sprocket keeps moving without taking the chain with it. Thanks.

I have not. But I haven’t used 3D Contacts in years. (Only because I have not had a need.) I recommend contacting PTC Tech Support.
