I dont know if I'm stretching but when Riku uses dark barrage he summons 7 blades of darkness which I think represents him showing his progress from the beginning of re:com as he was afraid of the darkness but now is using the darkness in order to help preserve the light
Riku's dark aura in this game was the best and was never the same after they kept trying to add it into 0ther games. Kh2 turned it into a shield because??? Dream drop distance was buggy and you fell through the map a lot when you used it. Kh3 it just doesn't exist. In my head cannon though that's because he isn't apart of the dark realm anymore. Think how organization members can hop through dark corridors at will. Dark aura is the same, pretty much. Shame he never used the ability again with such finnese after CoM.
Kh2 didn't turn it into a shield. Dark Aura in KH2 is Riku shooting mega destruction dark ball of darkness and destruction. And he is a fucking teammate, not a player character. He is also the only teammate in the entire game to offer reaction commands (excluding the one's produced by auto-limit)
Honestly, I think CoM/Re:CoM would be a lot more fun if it wasn't for the cards. Like if they kept the KH1 gameplay or changed it to like a turn based battle type of game
they should straight reuse the recom skills as limits or something, like all of them. but we got atraction flow instead e.e they could bring some of the bbs and ddd skills too.
I know what you're thinking, I was the same way at first until I started using more powerful cards first, then decreased it overtime and it helped so much.
Wow! I never knew he actually called on the light to launch foes into the air at the start of his Impulse attack. And his dual dark swords/Joint Blade attacks looks slick!
Riku's gameplay is superb for his campaign, and honestly it's how Sora's gameplay should have been partially managed (to quote KingK): So you get a pre-constructed deck, and your focus is on increasing attack points and (I don't know) light points I guess.
Seeing this makes me hope somebody uses Riku's battle animations of this game and transfers it to KH1 on the PC as a Riku Mod. Lol I'd have a blast playing as Riku with these animations
@@BioRoxasUnderstandable. Particularly in the gba version, Riku only had a basic combo outside of dark mode and his dark mode abilities were all derived from the Replica's moves. There were some minor mechanical changes, like the first two moves of his dark mode combo being a single two hit technique for the replica and his Dark Break sleight being a multi hit sleight version of one of the replica's basic attacks, but it was clearly just an attempt to give players access to the same abilities.
@@grayson8633 the problem is, I've played all the other games before it including BBS and DDD which used the command deck and have gotten used to the combat of those games.
it's basically this: know what sleights do you want to used based on what cards do you have and max CP. do you want to focus on actually doing combos? or slap your enemies with physical sleights? or just farm with Mega Flare? from there on it's pretty clear on what do you need to do.
@@NinjaWarotMCph it's not like that, I'm used to timing button inputs for long combos that end at specific points because of revenge values. Not thinking about what cards to play and when.

Huh that’s really interesting 🤔
(1:40) in D.D.D. Both icebreaker and shadowbreaker have similar looks and variances to "Maelstrom" along with being a final combo attack in KH3.
Double Duel has Riku and Mickey perform this attack together.

Dark Aura as it is portrayed in Re:COM should have been Riku's shot lock in KH3.
Actually, in kh 2 dark aura became multiple blasts of darkness, the shield is dark shield
@@velknight9224 you right, my fault

data dark riku has dark aura as his DM tho.
Who used Dark Aura and felt satisfied to use it?
I know i did.
Especially after getting wrecked by that attack during Riku-Ansem's boss fight in KH1. Felt good to use dark aura to wreck MY enemies instead.
It was perfection
I always used dark break
MEGA DESTRUCTION DARKBALL OF DARKNESS AND DESTRUCTION
I hope moves like these will be equipped to riku in the next game he is in.
Me too!!

Re:Chain *every possible card combo* breakdown?
😳

Loving all your breakdowns. Any plans to do Sora's Dual Link Attacks from Dream Drop Distance?
Eventually! I just need to grind out all of the dream eaters xD
Great to hear (or read lol). Looking forward to it.
Apparently, if you land it, Barrage always does 1 bar of health to Ansem, so it's a good way to 'cheese' him.
Oh seriously? Good to know
Really good breakdown! Keep up the good work man! ❤❤

This is a really awesome video! Didn’t realise this wasn’t in the original chain of memories gba game.
This video is so good! I loved playing as Riku in Re:CoM!!
That sad weird moment when I didn't even realize Dual Slights existed
Finally i thought u would never do a breakdown on recom but here we r cant wait for Soras breakdown •^•
Sora scares me xD
@@BioRoxas his breakdown is way better then a breakdown about what each card in the game can do but i will be waiting for both now good luck c:
BTW, are you still doing research on the organization data fights?
Yeah! I took a hiatus on them but I plan to get back to them soon ^^
@@BioRoxas okay, I'll stay tuned for whenever you post them again.

Your character summons a dark blade for some special attacks in Union Cross
Ooh in union cross!! Great point
All I need is aGO MAY AS SINFD DA O
Man, I love chain of memories, and I wish people liked it more
Yeah it’s a lot of fun!
Will u do Riku's normal Dark mode sleight and sleight with Mickey?
Probably not ^^ I was going to do a full riku breakdown for this video actually but there wasn’t really too much to his regular combat and sleights.

i really wish these returned in 3, like for example, dark barrage could have been riku's shotlock
I'd love to play Riku's bit in Re:COM, but that means playing through as Sora and i can't get my head around the card system at all.

Do a breakdown for KH2 Riku as both a “boss” and ally.
That’s a good idea ^^
Bio-Roxas Thanks! It’s nice of you to notice me!
Any other enemies that use a blade of darkness. How about Anti black coat.
JUST ME!
I think Riku has a similar blade attack as his limit break in 358/2.
Oh really? I’ll have to look into that!
Whats the song in the background I cant remember the name of it
it looks like blade charge is a common technique you learn when wielding a keyblade. everyone knows it
Right? Even Leon does something similar!
Yo, Barrage actually looks like Vanitas' basic combo
I play wild +4 in attack mode and end my turn
Can u do a break down of the xemnas ansem and young xaenort fight in kh3 bc I'm having trouble
Yeah I want to do that one soon!
@@BioRoxas Thank u so very much. Oblivion keyblade is becoming a struggle
Very minor nitpick, but the title should be spelled “Duel”, not “Dual”, as in “two”.
