Prayers for your daughter’s health, and that of your family! Great to hear it’s behind her. Lovely instument!!! Had I not just now ordered my first custom (Boanza Oreo) instrument, I might have immediately pressed the buy button on this one! 40mm!!!! YES!!!! But I’m sure I’ll be pleased with my own choice. Thanks, Man. Love what you do and the way you do it!
My main issue with slot headstocks is the possibility of them binding and skipping because the post tops drag in the center bar. The open frame design circumvents that. Looks-wise, I would prefer if the tuners were a pair of doubles, though.
Hello Baz. I took the plunge with this one and so pleased I did, I love it. I have a couple of other solid wood Ukes in this price range and their great and I love them and you've reviewed them, but this one is unique. It feels so solid, it plays lovely and sounds solid and lovely. It looks like someone made it. In my opinion your review is spot on👍and I love this Ukulele cheers Baz and a big Thank you to Matt and All at Noah Ukulele 👍👍👍
I absolutely adore how this Noah's looks. It's very beautiful. I like the open headstock, it reminds me of Magic Flukes/Fleas. It also has that Noah brightness, but I really think the bigger body adds some nice lower end without taking away from that signature jangle/shimmer. Another great thing is the larger body, I want a baritone sized body, but I like gCEA tuning and tenor scale so I think this works really well together. Best wishes to your daughter and glad to have you back!
Good to see Noah are upping the game on Quality. Now if they could ensure all actions are good and replace bone with graphite I might consider another one.
I love the looks of this one. Even the open head works on this one. The price is good for the build. I am a Soprano and concert size player but this sounds peppy and has the jingle of a concert. Not bad. I like it picked the best. This was a real nice one.. thanks for the review my friend, enjoyable and informative as always… DOC. …hope your daughter feels better my prayers for her… God bless
Yep - immediately pushed my buttons too when I picked it up - daughter is through it now - and pretty much right as rain - sense of smell and appetite gone though. But she's no longer infectious.
@@drpkmurphy Kids (not all kids but most) seem to ride through this ok - concerned about the sense of smell ( as a foodie that would ruin me!) but pleased she's lively again. To be fair to her too she was model patient and very careful around Mum and Dad to reduce risk of transmission (We are still negative thus far!)
I'm usually pretty good at gauging the price, but I was out on this one. Thought it would be in the £3-400 range. She's a beauty, for a very reasonable price! I imagine this will be one that will really excel with age.
Because of your review, we purchased this Uke. LOVE IT. It's beautiful and plays beautifully. We highly recommend it. If you live in the U.S., you'll have to contact Matt directly. Otherwise, it's 'super' easy. My only gripe is that I wish it had a knob at the neck somewhere for a strap. It's difficult to thread the leather for a strap under the strings. That's my only gripe and it's a really small one.
I like the size of this one! Very nice! I just wish they had used rosewood instead of the mahogany. I think the rosewood balances out the brightness of the spruce better. Do you think he will produce a baritone?
Great review again baz ...I'm actually contemplating buying one of these absolutely cracking ...you don't mention the setup are these good to go from brought please I'm imagining so tia
I've been watching your show for a few years now. Great work as always. Could you please review the Buzzards Field Bass Banjolele? It's acoustic electric and quite an oddball, but it has a nice unique sound and seems like it could be good for travel and practice. Greetings from Kentucky, cheers.
I've got 3 beautiful instruments. A Noah soprano, Laka concert, V-Tab tenor. My hangers are positioned perfectly symmetrically to the large picture above it. I watch these reviews every week safe in the knowledge that although I may see a few things I like, I'm happy enough with my trio that I'll never see anything I must have. It was tempting to thumbs down this video because it'll be responsible for upsetting the symmetry. Take my thumbs up, Baz. And take my money, Noah.
I would never pick a uke based on low or high G tuning - as that is something that is designed to be changeable to suit the buyer (I don't play low G myself). So really a case of looking at the highest scores on all the tenors on my list - as any of them will take a low G if you want it
Beautiful instrument. I’m not a big fan of spruce topped ukuleles in general, although I do own a couple of them. This one does sound very good. Thanks for another great review.
Looks like a stunning instrument. How long does it take to build a ukulele? I have to say I really like your channel too and I doubt I will ever unsub from it, also spotted your reviews on amazon ..
Welcome back. I wonder with the new trend for total open headstock so. Does anyone know if they stand the test of time or any issues. It’s just at the price for a real quality uke. I’ve got to look for a reason not to add one to my growing collection. Am a sucker for a spruce top. Thanks again for another great review of an instrument I would get the chance to see or hear. it’s great to see collaborations of UK with the rest of the world. Well done NOAH.
Baz, Noah has it correct, by calling it a super tenor. Scale goes by neck length, not by body size. I think you taught us that.??? I don’t like the slotted headstock at all, nor the pin bridge. But I do like the rest of that uke!
Yep - I agree - think Kanile'a do one with baritone scale, but Noah do have it right - that Kanile'a super tenor is a baritone - this is a tenor! Love how that body is filling the sound out. Really loved playing this one.
Did you ask him - he told me he could sort international shipping - but as the review says - need to contact him direct - not through the website order.
Nice instrument. That does not look like any maple I've ever seen (I've been a professional wodworker for over 50 years). Grant it, viewing a picture over the internet is not like seeing the real thing.

Thanks Dennis - she's fine - was a bit off colour days 3-5 but right as rain now - kids seem to be largely riding the storm with this one!
Great review Baz, thank you. Noah instruments are superb.
Agreed!
Awesome uke for the money.
Glad your daughter is ok, enjoy the do over👍👍
Thank you kindly

I reckon you would have kept playing and playing that. What a fantastic instrument looks and sounds amazing.
Been playing it a lot this week!

Thanks kindly Jeff!
Great price! Looks great, plays well, and I really like the wide nut and satin neck. Great review!
Thanks for watching!
Wow! I generally prefer a low G on the bigger Ukuleles, but this one sounds lovely.
I'm really glad it came re-entrant - though of course could easily be swapped to low G

I'm sorry to hear your daughter caught covid. I hope she's fully recovered! Thank you for another interesting review.
She's much better thanks!
Pretty good , not overkeen on open headstock, probably too wide for my small hands, price was surprising
Certainly wide necks are not for everyone - very much a subjective thing for me
I love it , where do you get something like this !!!
Direct from Noah only - link in the review

Sounds amazing, from what I've seen the neck is awesome and are those really blemishes? Looks more like character :D
Just not quite precision in the detailing - but then it's £270, not £1,270!
What would be your pick for a good super tenor with low G tuning with good price quality? Great channel, love all the reviews
