Any chance you will be making a side trip to Eskişehir, Turkey. This where they mine Meerschaum. It is a stone they use to make beautiful smoking pipes. It is a dying industry
It's great to be out Michel. We are anchored on the northern side of the Datca peninsula tonight. We are the only tourists in town. Actually there is no town, just a nice shallow sandy bay. 👍
So surreal to see the Mygros sign in the marina shops as you departed. Really enjoyed my time in that Marina and Kas town. Seems like an eternity has passed since we were there. I hope we can get back one day xxx
I'm not hitting on your wife Baz. But she doesn't have to put on make up to look pretty. Anish your a beautiful woman. And I enjoy watching your videos. Be safe and have fun
Aww Eric that's so sweet, thank you! 😊 At my age, I'm really not sure what works best lol! But having read your comments, I will have much more confidence just being 'me'. Thank you. 🤗
Agreed AAnnsha no make required. natural good looks and the artistic talent, just keep 'what's his name ' about to run the boat for you > Fair Winds :)
Great camera and drone shots. Love it. We are sailing this area (all being well) at the end of september so its nice to see and hear about the anchorages, marinas and all.
Thanks for that Petyr. You may also find some helpful information about other Turkish anchorages in our playlist called 'The Anchorages series.' The videos are 90 to 120 seconds long and go into detail about the holding and facilities ashore. Cheers.
That anchorage looked sublime - I don't blame you - well you are supposed to stay put on Sunday's in Turkey - so you were just obeying the rules. On the big picture aspect - days like that - are the reason you wanted to sail and moved about anyway - I say - mission accomplished.
Hey Murray, it will be interesting to see what that anchorage is like when we come back through in the summer months, very different we suspect. Yes, mission accomplished. 👍
Great video guys, good to see your on your way! how far North are you planning, we are in Didim until mid May ( Lift out etc) & then heading South, so our paths may just cross :)

Hi Michael, that's quite a way inland. I've added it to our list of places to visit as we are working on a plan to do a big inland explore of Turkey.
So nice to see you cruising again 🤩

At the beginning of the video I thought the Captain had been replaced by Julius Caeser....
😂😂😂
Beautiful.A lovely day out 🐙
Not bad for our first day of our trip north. 😀
You gotta love that Baz, ooooo bit cold for a swim..... but never to cold for a beer. 🤗
(Baz) You got that right Mark, it's never too cold for a beer. 🍺👍😀

We are certainly living through a very strange moment in human history. We hope to see you out here soon. Cheers.

😆 @Darrell Pugh LOL! Thank you for that. Will do 😉
Feeling lazy because your not doing something...... LOL Happens here too. Sail Safe Guys, Ant, Cid & the pooch crew.
(Baz) It's crazy isn't it Ant? Tucked into Datca harbour now, waiting out the big blow before moving further north. How are you guys doing?
@@SailingABSea almost ready to leave just waiting on the weather..... Tunisia first then East. Turkey for the winter. 😉😉
Is kas marina actually that well protected? This video appears to show it quite open
Hi Leon, it is surprisingly well protected, Sometimes the winds gusting around the mountains can get a bit boisterous, but overall it's a good spot.
great episode , thank you both :)
Our pleasure Ni Ko. 👍
Excellent footage especially the drone shootings are amazing 👏⛵️Fair winds and keep on the work. Thanks a lot
Thanks SY-Ronja, there's a link in the description to our friend Tim who filmed the drone footage. Our drone footage is never that well framed. 👍

@@SailingABSea brilliant. I will check them out.
Another great episode thank you 👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it Russ. 👍
I read something about Erdo wanting to impose a lockdown for the full Ramadan period. Is it true?
In the Antalya region it is the same as we currently have plus food places can only do delivery.
Yes. Unfortunately
Really liked the drone work in this video, which drone do you use?
Drone footage in this one is from our friend Tim, I think it's a Mavic. 😀

Hi, so far we've planned to get to Cesme, but who knows after that, maybe further north. We hope to see you out there this summer. Cheers. 👍
Its ok to be lazy! lol
Cheers
(Baz) I'm my own worst task master.😀
Hey - are you walking down memory lane? Looking at old content? What's up now days?
