What a delightful young lady you are! My son’s in his first year at Leeds Uni and as his mother it’s heartening to see there’re students like you on campus who are resourceful, thrifty and dedicated to their religion and studies. Central Leeds has boat taxis that take you from the train station to Clarence dock which is a really nice place to go and eat or chill out by the cannal side, also York is not far away and York was the historic capital of the kingdom of Jórvík, and it is home to one of the world's most perfectly preserved Viking settlements (Jórvík víking museum) Yorkshire dialect has over a thousand words of old East Norse origin, and Yorkshire itself owes its existence to the Vikings, it was originally divided into 3 "ridings" since the Viking age up until the 1970's Leeds like Sheffield was part of Jórvík vestr þriðjungr (West Riding of York (shire). Leeds is the wealthiest city in Northern England and England's second financial city. Leeds is a very liberal and international city, I remember as a child someone joked and said "Leeds is the place where the world goes to have babies" 🤣 I suppose it's not far from the truth, you find every mix of possible in Leeds, and various interracial couples everywhere. It's also a growing city with lots of employment and career opportunities
